Patient Hospitalization

You need to come to the hospital at least 2 hours before the surgery appointment hour and at least 8 hours as hungry and thisty. Below, you can find the location and contact information on Google Maps for 2 hospitals I have operated on the most. You have to go to the patient's hospital and apply for admission.

Do you need a special clothes to bring the day of surgery?

On the day when the rhinoplasty operation is planned, you can bring your pajamas or sleeping clothes so you can comfortably rest after surgery.

Before surgery, you need to wear a disposable special surgical suit given to you by the hospital.

Please remove the metal items from above!

On the day of surgery, it is best to remove all metal products such as jewelry and piercing that are worthy of your body.

Please clean the nail in your fingernails!

Especially on the index finger, a probe measuring blood oxygen level is placed. Normally it would be appropriate to have nail polish on your fingernails.

General Anesthesia and Fasting

General anesthesia is a combination of medications that put patients into a deep sleep and prevent them from feeling pain during surgery. To ensure the safety of the patient, it is important that the stomach is empty before receiving general anesthesia. This reduces the risk of vomiting and aspiration, which is when stomach contents enter the lungs.

Patients are typically instructed to stop eating solid food at least 8 hours before their scheduled surgery time. They may be allowed to drink clear liquids, such as water, up to 6 hours before surgery. You can stop to eating and drinking 8 hours earlier form surgery. However, it is important to follow the specific instructions provided by the surgeon or anesthesiologist.

The Day of Surgery

On the day of surgery, patients should arrive at the surgical facility at the designated time. They should wear comfortable clothing and avoid wearing jewelry, makeup, or nail polish. Patients will be asked to remove any contact lenses, dentures, or hearing aids before the procedure.

Before receiving general anesthesia, patients will meet with the anesthesiologist to review their medical history and discuss any concerns. The anesthesiologist will then administer the medications needed to induce sleep and prevent pain during surgery.

Recovery and Post-Operative Care

After the surgery is complete, patients will be taken to a recovery area where they will be monitored closely as they wake up from the anesthesia. Once the patient is fully awake and stable, they will be discharged from the surgical facility and allowed to go home.

Patients should arrange for someone to drive them home from the surgical facility, as they will not be able to drive themselves. They should also have someone stay with them for the first 24 hours after surgery to provide support and assistance as needed.

In the days and weeks following surgery, patients should follow their surgeon's instructions for post-operative care. This may include taking prescribed medications, avoiding strenuous activities, and attending follow-up appointments.

Operation day anesthesia examination

When the patient is hospitalized, the catheter is opened in your arm and routine blood tests are performed. It will be convenient for you to tell your anesthesiologist about the operations you have already undergone, the conditions of drug allergy and the drugs you are using.

In the room that is given to you at the hospital, one other person outside you can stay as a companion free of charge!

In your hospital room, you can stay for 1 day free for a total of 1 person accompanied by you and your meals and supplies for two persons are provided by the hospital.

What should I do when I get to the hospital?

Patient's hospitalization departments are usually located on the entrance floor. The patient went to the hospital and said, "I have rhinoplasty surgery planned for today by Dr.Murat Enöz!"

Is it given sedatives before surgery?

Yes, when you got to the hospital before surgery and relaxing drugs from entering the operating theater (intravenously or orally with water in small amounts intravenously) can be given. These drugs can be given to you with the permission of your anesthesiologist.

Do not worry, you will not feel pain during the operation!

The only pain you can feel during surgery is the pain that occurs due to the catheter that is placed on your arm or on your hand as surgery is performed under general anesthesia.
