Recommendations for before and after the lip filler injection to reduce the swelling and pain
In order to reduce the amount of bruising and / or swelling in the injection sites after lip filling, please follow the instructions below (of course it will be more accurate to follow the instructions of your physician, where I have included a summary of the instructions of the different clinics):
- Avoid using painkiller antiinflammatory drugs such as aspirin, ibuprofen and alveum a week ago. If you are using aspirin for medical reasons, please consult your doctor!
- End use for supplements containing Ginko biloba, evening primrose oil, garlic, ginseng and Vitamin E. 1 week ago
Avoid using 3 days before topical products, such as -Tretinoin (Retin-A), Retinols, Retinoids, Glycolic Acid or any "Anti-Aging" product
- Do not drink alcohol 24 hours before treatment
- Do not use skin fillers if you are pregnant or are allergic to any substance or are suffering from neurological disorders.
- On the day of lip filler injection come to the office and come with a "clean face" without makeup. Topical anesthetic can be applied to maximize your comfort during the procedure. In some cases, local drugs may be injected into or around the area (s) to be treated.
- Avoid contact with boiling products or vapors (hot tea, bath steam, hot dishes) after treatment.
- Avoid eating products that are spicy or irritating after the procedure
- Avoid any exercise activity during the first week, which requires the head to bend forward after the procedure.
