Update on Covid-19 and Rhinoplasty Operation in Istanbul

Dear patients and friends, since the Covid-19 infection and related restrictions have been lifted, I have removed the information I previously wrote in this link. I hope such a process will not happen again, we will always stay happy and healthy!

History of Rhinoplasty

The aesthetic profile approach starts with the Egyptians. B.C. There are evidences that aesthetic surgical operations for the nose were performed in Egypt and India around 600 BC. The first record of reducing the big nose is probably from Diffenbach in 1845. The intranasal approach in rhinoplasty was described by Roe in 1897, 40 years after Diffenbach. A year later, completely unaware of him, Joseph in Germany performed the same type of surgery and set today's rules. Goodale made the first subcutaneous nasal hump incisions. Since Roe, these aesthetic operations have been performed through internal incisions. In the last 30 years, open technique rhinoplasty has been adopted by many authors with the contribution of Jugo and Goodman and has been used widely. First of all, the first condition for the operation to be successful is to know the anatomy and physiology of the nose well.

The history of rhinoplasty, the surgical procedure for reshaping and reconstructing the nose, dates back thousands of years. Here is a brief overview of the fascinating history of rhinoplasty:

Ancient Origins:
- India: The origins of rhinoplasty can be traced back to ancient India, specifically to the practice of reconstructive surgery known as "nose-cutting" or "nose job" mentioned in ancient Indian texts as early as 600 BCE. These techniques were primarily developed to repair the noses of individuals who had been punished for crimes or as a result of war.

Development in the Middle Ages:
- Middle East: In the Middle Ages, rhinoplasty techniques were refined in the Middle East, particularly in Persia (now Iran) and Arabia. Persian physician Rhazes (also known as Muhammad ibn Zakariya al-Razi) described the use of a forehead flap to reconstruct the nose in the 9th century.

- Europe: Knowledge of these techniques reached Europe in the 16th century. Italian surgeon Gaspare Tagliacozzi is credited with popularizing the "Italian method" of nasal reconstruction, which involved using a flap of upper arm skin to reconstruct the nose.

Modern Advancements:
- 19th Century: In the 19th century, rhinoplasty underwent significant advancements. British surgeon Joseph Constantine Carpue is considered a pioneer in the field. He studied the techniques used in India and introduced the "Indian method" of rhinoplasty to Europe. Carpue's work inspired subsequent surgeons to refine and develop new techniques.

- 20th Century: The 20th century brought further progress in rhinoplasty. In the early 1900s, Jacques Joseph, a German surgeon, introduced the "open approach" to rhinoplasty, which involved making incisions on the outside of the nose to access and reshape the underlying structures. This approach allowed for more precise and controlled changes to the nasal shape.

- Modern Techniques: In recent decades, advancements in technology and surgical techniques have greatly enhanced the field of rhinoplasty. The development of endoscopic tools and imaging technology has enabled surgeons to perform more precise and minimally invasive procedures. Computer imaging software allows for detailed preoperative planning and better communication between patients and surgeons.

Contemporary rhinoplasty focuses not only on functional aspects but also on aesthetic goals, aiming to create a balanced and harmonious nasal appearance while preserving or enhancing the individual's natural features. Surgeons employ various techniques, such as cartilage grafting, septoplasty, and tip refinement, to achieve the desired outcomes.

Rhinoplasty has evolved significantly over time, from its early roots in reconstructive surgery to the sophisticated procedures performed today. It continues to be a sought-after cosmetic procedure, offering individuals the opportunity to improve nasal aesthetics and address functional issues, thereby enhancing their overall facial harmony and self-confidence.

There Is No Standard Rhinoplasty Operation!

Each patient, each face and each nose is considered to be a whole, and has a different anatomical structure and is unique to itself. It therefore requires separate planning for each patient for rhinoplasty in istanbul Turkey. A complete determination of aesthetic and functional deformities, good design and surgical planning, ability to perform it and most important experience is required. A balanced nose is aimed at every aspect and looks good in other aspects of the face. The artistic skill of the surgeon, the training and experience of nose surgeons, the desire for self-development are the most important factors for a successful outcome. In addition, the balance of aesthetics and functionality must be well preserved. Today, many physicians seek minimal traumatic procedures, avoid excessive resections in rhinoplasty operations, try to preserve structural support and try to achieve a natural outlook throughout their lives.

Rhinoplasty in Istanbul
Since the dynamics of rhinoplasty shows continuity with the surgical technique during the recovery period, surgical maneuvers consisting mainly of incision, resection, stitching and augmentation should be performed in a balance compatible with the aesthetic lines. The basis of a successful rhinoplasty is the preservation of normal anatomical units and aesthetic lines. Major resections should always be avoided, and repositioning and reorientation should be made with minimal excisions. Cartilage graft, augmentation and suture techniques should be preferred because of their reversible and controllable convenience. In addition, it should be kept in mind that the dynamics of the recovery period are more difficult to predict with excessive resection and the possibility of sequelae is higher. Collapse of the middle dorsum collapse due to excessive removal of alar collapse, upper cartilage and dorsal septum with excessive alar resection, and loss of type support as a result of excessive removal of the caudalseptum, and columellar retraction are the most common sequelae.

Rhinoplasty surgical technique
As a classical knowledge, two different rhinoplasty techniques, namely "open technique" and "closed technique", are divided into subgroups such as "ultrasonic rhinoplasty", "microscopic rhinoplasty", "preservation rhinoplasty" ... according to the instruments used and bone shaping techniques. There are rhinoplasty techniques and names that can be separated. I generally prefer the "micromotor assisted open technique rhinoplasty" method. I can use bone cutting techniques with an ultrasonic device during the procedure. Here, it is best to leave the choice of technique to the surgeon who plans to perform the rhinoplasty operation and to act according to his choice. Although there is no skin incision scar in the columella in closed technique rhinoplasty operations; the surgeon's dominance of anatomical details is not as much as in open technique rhinoplasty. In particular, there are many advantages of the open technique in revision nose aesthetics with advanced septum deviation, nose aesthetics with excessively thick skin, and crooked nose aesthetic operations.

Rhinoplasty can be performed using general or local anesthesia. It is usually done as an outpatient procedure but sometimes requires one day staying in the hospital.

Two methods used for rhinoplasty:

1 - closed rhinoplasty
2 - open rhinoplasty

In the closed technique rhinoplasty, postoperative edema is expected to be less because of less tissue trauma, anatomical structures evaluation is more difficult from the open technique.

In the open technique rhinoplasty, nasal skin is dissected, the nasal cartilages visible, anatomical structures are more easily seen. The skin of the nose is separated from the nasal bone and cartilages.

The surgeon's experience and expertise is important other factor in the selection of the technique.
Often surgery takes between 1-3 hours. postoperative nasal Silicone splints, absorbable buffer is placed in the nose; bandages and external splints are placed out of the nose.

New Devices and Methods in Shaping the Nasal Bone

New Devices and Methods in Shaping the Nasal Bone
In the reduction of the bone and cartilage hump forming the nasal arch, it has recently been emphasized that ultrasonic devices and micromotor systems that reduce soft tissue trauma and post-operative edema and bruising have much more advantages. Especially in the reduction of the nasal hump, the micromotor-assisted limb shaping processes are more leveled. Ultrasonic device (piezoelectric, rhinoplasty, diamond rhinoplasty, ultrasonic rhinoplasty) micro-tunnel assisted bone cutting (osteotomy), micro-motor assisted rhinoplasty or classical bone cutting procedures can be preferred for cutting or breaking the nasal bone. The probes of the new micromotor systems are very useful for a smoother nose. Especially in thin-skinned female nose aesthetics, the use of these shaving devices is beneficial in creating the smoothest nasal ridge and minimal trauma in the soft tissue.

Simple Rhinoplasty Operation

Simple Rhinoplasty Operation in Istanbul
In fact, "simple" in the name does not mean that this is not a preoperative surgery; aesthetic nose operations, which are simpler than other rhinoplasty operations. In particular, it consists only of a limited combination of nose hump reduction, nose tip plasty and nose-forming processes without bone fracture. "Rhinoplasty", which is a special operation, can also be performed as a personalized procedure in this way as a limited amount of operations.

What is Minimal Traumatic Rhinoplasty (Simple Nose Aeshtetic Surgery)?

In selected patients, aesthetic nose surgeries can be performed without damaging the nasal supporting tissues. For example, different combinations of procedures can be performed such as nose tip plasty and hump reduction, alar plasty and limited amount of hump resection or filling of nose root with nose tip aesthetics. Compared to "complicated rhinoplasty operation" in which the nasal bone is broken and different graft applications are performed, both surgical risks are less and postoperative recovery is much faster. You can find pre and post images on the subject "rhinoplasty without bone broken" search results on this website >> rhinoplasty without bone broken

Don't Always Trust Digital Rhinoplasty Animation!

Especially in the developing digital age, people's effort to see the possible result of a rhinoplasty operation before the surgery may unfortunately cause an abnormal expectation. Due to the high number of factors that determine the result especially in patients with thick skin structure and in revision nose surgeries, the pre-operative animations in digital media may not reflect the reality. Digital rhinoplasty animation programs can only be used for demonstrating possible outcomes and understanding patient expectations. The result is a "human" doing the operation and the desired texture is "alive", "changing" and "healing". It's not a computer program, this is alive surgery!

Can You Choose Nose Shape From Catalog? (!)

There is no chance for the patient to choose the nose who wants for the nose aesthetic surgery. We meet many patients who want to have the same nose as his favorite singer, film artist. However, each nose is unique in itself. And a nose that looks beautiful in one person may not look good in another. This is because everyone's facial features are different. Therefore, a separate surgical plan should be designed and implemented for each patient. At this point, of course, doctors should be sure about how realistic their expectations are.

Importance Psychological Status of Patients Who Want To Nose Aesthetic Surgey

Importance Psychological Status of Patients Who Want To Nose Aesthetic Surgey
Psychosocial concerns can be caused by the underlying demands of cosmetic surgery on the face and nose of patients. Successful rhinoplasty operations generally improve health-related quality of life, patients' self-confidence, and anxiety symptoms in people with good mental health. However, psychological outcomes are not satisfactory in patients with significant depressive symptoms, severe personality disorders, and psychosis. It can be concluded that a nasal aesthetic surgery can easily be "unsuccessful", "erroneous", "defective". In addition to unrealistic and scientifically patient expectations, the exaggerated vital effects of the result after rhinoplasty can be defined. In general, complaints do not improve and may even get worse. Therefore, it is important to evaluate the stability and psychology of the patients and to remove the unsuitable patients with significant psychopathology before the surgical procedure for successful results. It is not possible to obtain psychological treatment by surgical surgery alone. In patients with exaggerated health and social expectation of "rhinoplasty", especially with previous surgeons having bad experiences with them, "constantly blaming the previous physician", "trying to explain by simplifying the surgical procedure", body dysmorphic disorder, significant depressive symptoms, severe personality disorders and psychotic It does not create the desired satisfaction in patients with impaired disorders, does not have a positive effect on patients' complaints, and may even exacerbate problems. The demand to replace the nose with cosmetic surgery can be accompanied by important motivations and psychosocial problems (source link >> Psychological Evaluation of Patients Seeking Rhinoplasty).

Psychological Evaluation and Patient Selection For Rhinoplasty

nose job in Istanbul,Nose aesthetic, rhinoplasty,
If you think that your nose is incompatible with your face or that your nose is too big on your face, your nose shadows your face when you are face to face with people, if your nose belt disturbs you when you look in the mirror, if you have a curvature deformity in your nose and this is accompanied by a small aesthetic appearance in your nose If you want to improve, you are a candidate for aesthetic nose surgery. Because all these problems can be solved with aesthetic nose surgery. There are three points that all authorities in the world converge on this issue: realistic expectations, a healthy body and positive psychology. In addition to these three features; understanding the surgery, healthy communication with the doctor, and knowing what you want and what you don't want. If you want to open these features briefly; Your expectation as a result of this surgery, your image should be improved aesthetically. It is a realistic expectation to have a natural (non-operative) nose that is comfortable with your face after the surgery and that you can breathe easily. Therefore, knowing what you expect from this surgery and what kind of nose you want increases your doctor's motivation for surgery.

This price one day stay in the hospital, blood tests and physician fee, operation materials are included in this price. Surgery prices vary according to hospital, materials which needed to use in surgery and operation time.

How Can Cheap Rhinoplasty Be Possible?

Especially in the large number of daily operations and crowded clinics, "collective surgery campaign" as a very affordable price can be rhinoplasty operation. However, apart from the sterilization and anesthesia conditions of the hospital, the surgeon's concentration and body resistance may be affected as the number of operations increases. For this reason, I prefer to perform only 1 or 2 rhinoplasty operations per day.

Cheapest Rhinoplasty Operation Charge How Much?

Starting from a simple rhinoplasty operation in Istanbul is 2500 US Dollars; When septoplasty and tubinate radiofrequency are performed together or in complicated nose aesthetic operations fee increases to 3500 US Dollars. Up to 4500 US Dollars in a luxury hospital. Rhinoplasty Operation Without Nasal Packing

The septoplasty and turbinate radiofrequency operations can be performed at the same time during the rhinoplasty in Istanbul, when there is a septum deviation or turbinate hypertrophy causing airway obstruction in the nose. In this way, when several operations are performed simultaneously, different types of nose buffers can be inserted into the nose. In general, I prefer to place the inside of the nose into the internal nasal silicone splint, which is made of pure silicone, allowing the patient to breathe. In addition, there are nasal pads which are self-fading. In addition, rinoplasty operation be terminated using ENTact® Septal Stapler, which allows the nasal septum to be sutured in a practical manner.

The Art of Nose Obtaining Face Compatible: Natural Rhinoplasty

Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure performed by reshaping the bone and cartilage of the nose to improve the existing appearance and function of the nose. The goal of rhinoplasty is to aesthetically correct the nose to match the other features of the face.

nose job in Istanbul,Nose aesthetic, rhinoplasty,

Your nose should match your face. Rhinoplasty is the perfect solution to overcome these problems if your nose has an unsightly belt, if the tip of your nose is too sagged, or because your nose is too thick or thin, your nose looks disproportionate to the rest of your face. Rhinoplasty (reshaping the nose) can improve your self-confidence by changing your appearance and contribute positively to your health.

Skin Incisions Are Usually Made to The Least Visible Nose Areas

This surgical application, which improves the appearance of the nose, can generally improve the appearance of your face. Most of the incisions made in rhinoplasty are made in the nasal areas which are not visible to the eye. In some embodiments, the surgical incision may be made in the skin area that separates the nostrils from each other. Within these processes, a certain amount of bone and cartilage is removed or arranged to form a reshaped nose.

Summary of Your Experience After Rhinoplasty

If packing is inserted into the nose during surgery, it is removed the morning after surgery. The nasal splint is usually removed 7 days after surgery. During this period, additional tape is applied to the nose wings for seven days and then these bands are removed. Most of the bruising and swelling that occurs after surgery usually disappears within two weeks after surgery.

Heavy activities should be avoided for four weeks after surgery. In this process, sunlight and any risk factors that may injure the nose should be avoided. If goggles are used, tape should be used to prevent load on the nose.

Interview Before The Rhinoplasty

It will be helpful to identify any problems with your nose before you talk to your doctor for nose job surgery in Turkey. Aesthetic problem about your nose you different, your doctor may evaluate differently. Therefore, what you think about the shape of your nose; what you don't like, why you don't like it, how you expect it to be as detailed as possible. Once your doctor has fully learned your approach and expectations, he or she will tell you what you think about the problematic parts of your nose and what should be done. If the doctor and your ideas are parallel, the operation is decided. Apart from aesthetic problems, whether you have breathing problems, runny nose, runny nose, and headache, determine whether you have aesthetic surgery will make it possible to solve these health problems. In this surgery, the right communication with your doctor, both you and your doctor will relax. If a good preliminary interview is not made between the patient and the physician, surgery on the aesthetic problem may create results that will not make the patient happy. While very large defects can be corrected surgically by a simple procedure, a very small detail can be corrected by a difficult surgery.

Why Some Nose Operations Are More Difficult!

"Difficult rhinoplasty" may be mentioned by patients as much as it is spoken by us surgeons. I would like to tell you below about the difficulties of rhinoplasty operation according to skin characteristics and cartilage characteristics or difficulties related to nasal deformities due to traumatic / surgical procedure.

Thin skinned noses

In noses with thin skin, the light reflection of the edges of the subcutaneous cartilages may occur much faster and in a short time after the procedure. Skin and subcutaneous edema occurs less and disappears faster. However, the "camouflage effect" of thin skin is much less and it can cause asymmetrical bumps under the skin to appear very easily. Due to this feature, especially in thin-skinned and asymmetric revision rhinoplasty operations, a material such as temporalis disaster should be placed under the skin and bone irregularities should be camouflaged as much as possible. In other words, although "thin skin" is advantageous in terms of rapid recovery and obtaining a thin and angular nose; Due to the low camouflage effect, there is also the disadvantage such as insufficient camouflage effect in obtaining a smooth and symmetrical nose.

Thick skinned noses

thick skinned rhinoplasty for men - oily thick skinned nose job

You can find many articles on the subject in this website. If the nasal skin is thick, it may mean that there is more edema in the nose after the operation and it will take longer for the edema to disappear. Especially in people with thin and narrow facial structure, if they have thick skinned ethnic nose features, it can be a big problem to have a thin and angular nose. Bone and cartilage shaping procedures are generally performed to reduce the nasal volume. Shaping the nasal skin is surgically impossible. Generally, starting with the open technique, I do bilevel skin dissection and underskin tisseu removal as standard. It is very difficult to prevent the regeneration of this tissue, to limit healing and to limit genetic skin characteristics. For this reason, some surgeons may refuse to perform forehead skin surgery. When patients mistakenly consider it as a simple photo animation, the results of thick skin rhinoplasty operations may cause serious disappointments. In addition, thick leather, as an advantage, has features that "cover defects or conceal deformities, even in part," as it allows the asymmetric protrusions on the nose to be camouflaged.

Noses with traumatic deformity

The operation may be difficult on its own in noses with various nasal deformities due to previous trauma. In patients whose nasal bone, supratip cartilages and nasal tip cartilages are affected, achieving full symmetry may become almost impossible.

Revision nose aesthetics

I also covered this topic on other pages. In patients who have previously undergone nasal surgery, altered anatomy, the emergence of healing tissues, and the trauma of the vascular structure may cause both tissue dissection to be difficult and longer recovery time than normal after the procedure. In some patients, extra nasal cartilage grafts (ribs, ear cartilage ...) and tissues such as temporal fascia may be needed.

Noses with weak and elastic cartilage structure

In some noses, despite the oily and thick skin structure; It can be a very elastic and weak cartilage support. Before the rhinoplasty operation, detailed evaluation of the nasal wings and nasal tip cartilage support is very important in terms of the collapse of the nasal wings (nasal valve collapse - alar collapse) and the sagging of the nasal tip. In noses with weak cartilage support, rhinoplasty operation is not only for aesthetic purposes; It is also performed for functional purposes and the patient should be informed about the nasal cartilage structure.

What is The Purpose of Rhinoplasty Surgery?

What is The Purpose of Rhinoplasty Surgery?

The purpose of nose aesthetic
s is to make the most suitable nose to your face. The thickness of your skin, the thickness and structure of the existing cartilage, your wound healing potential and the success rate of previous nose surgeries. The goal is not to make an irrelevant nose to your face. Therefore, making the most beautiful nose alone will not solve the problems. Making the most suitable nose for your face is considered the most successful result. Some parts of the nose are reduced, while some parts are enlarged and the nose looks good. It is aimed at a nose suitable for the shape of the face, which does not give the impression that the nostrils do not appear excessive, that the bone roof is not lost and that it is operated.

Light Reflections May Reflect Deformities and Post-Operative Result!

Light Reflections - Rhinoplasty operation - Nose Job Istanbul Turkey

When viewed under light before rhinoplasty operation, light reflections in different areas on the nose may reflect nasal deformities, asymmetric areas, traces of past nasal traumas and surgical procedures. In the above photo, if you look at the photo above, it can be seen that the nasal bone is to the right, it is asymmetrically concave in the right nose wing, and the nasal type section is deviated to the right. In the patient who underwent many different grafts and bone shaping procedures, it can be seen in the photo showing the postoperative line that the light line continues straight up to the tip of the nose without breaking. Light reflections can be used as a "natural guide" in rhinoplasty operations!

Will there be nasal congestion after rhinoplasty operation?

Funtional rhinoplasty in Istanbul

Generally, during the aesthetic nose surgeries, problems such as septum deviation, turbinate hypertrophy, nasal valve problems and droopy nose tip are eliminated in order to make the airways inside the nose more comfortable. The "functional rhinoplasty" operation performed in this way allows both aesthetic and functional problems to be solved at the same time in patients. It may be appropriate to reject the operation by reporting that serious functional problems can be seen in patients who want a narrower or thinner nose structure than normal (in patients who want to go beyond normal aesthetic rates).

Change of Nose Tip Position by Weeks and Months After Rhinoplasty

During the rhinoplasty operation, the dome points of the alar cartilages at the tip of the nose are changed, various cartilage grafts can be placed on the upper part of these cartilages, and a strut graft is placed between the inner legs of the alar cartilages in the columella region. These procedures can be modified according to the patient's nose shape. The nose shape you see in the photos taken right after the rhinoplasty operation does not show the exact result. Usually, internal silicone splints are placed in the nose immediately after the photograph is taken, in this case the columella moves down (downposition) and the tip of the nose moves up (upturned). Due to the edema that becomes evident within a few days, the tip of the nose may appear as if it is directed very upwards (upturned nose tip - piggy nose). Don't be alarmed! After the silicone splints in the nose are removed (usually 7-10 days after the rhinoplasty operation), the columella begins to move upwards and the tip of the nose downwards again (upposition). Within a few weeks after the silicone is removed, the tip of the nose starts to turn down again (downturned). You can see that the nasolabial angle is much closer to normal in the 2nd month after the rhinoplasty operation. A very important piece of information on this subject is that as a result of some physicians placing the columellar strut graft long at the tip of the nose, a "clicking or popping sound" is heard from the nose when laughing or moving the tip of the nose after rhinoplasty, as a result of the aly part of the stump graft coming into contact with the bone at the base of the nose. In this case, the tip of the nose is generally tilted downwards or backwards and there is no softening at the tip of the nose during the healing process. I generally prefer to use short strut grafts. In this way, there is usually a downward and backward orientation at the tip of the nose within a few months. At the same time, when the patient smiles, a soft and movable nose tip is obtained instead of the "wooden nose" that does not turn or move at all. A small amount of yawning at the tip of the nose while smiling in patients is necessary for a "soft smile" for a natural tip of the nose. Especially in patients who cannot tolerate variables that may disappear over time, such as swelling at the tip of the nose, temporary change in nose shape due to silicone splint, and patients with panic attack or different psychiatric disorders, "nose shape is very bad or urgent revision is required" in the first few days after surgery. may result in comments such as: It should be kept in mind that the healing of the tip of the nose will require longer time, especially after thick-skinned revision rhinoplasty or after symmetrical rhinoplasty. It is very important to wait at least 6-12 months to decide whether revision rhinoplasty is required after rhinoplasty operations. In the early period after rhinoplasty, especially in the first few weeks, the shape of the nose you see by looking in the mirror can be interpreted as a balloon that looks swollen and upturned. Please pay attention to what your doctor has suggested for you and be patient. In some patients I have shared below, you can see the change in the nasolabial angle when you look at the side photos of the nose immediately after surgery and a few months later.

After undergoing rhinoplasty, the nose tip position will undergo changes in the weeks and months following the procedure as part of the healing process. It is important to understand that each individual's recovery timeline may vary, and the following information provides a general overview of what to expect during this period:

1. Immediately After Rhinoplasty: In the immediate postoperative period, the nose tip will appear swollen and possibly slightly elevated. This is a normal part of the healing process and is influenced by the surgical techniques used, the individual's healing response, and the extent of the procedure. It is common for the nose to look and feel different from its final result during this initial stage.

2. First Few Weeks: In the first few weeks after rhinoplasty, the majority of swelling will gradually subside. However, some residual swelling and mild bruising may still be present, particularly around the tip of the nose. During this time, it is important to follow the postoperative care instructions provided by your surgeon, including avoiding strenuous activities and protecting the nose from any accidental trauma.

3. 1-3 Months: Over the course of the first month to three months, the swelling will continue to diminish, and the nose tip will begin to assume a more defined shape. The nose will gradually take on a more refined appearance as the tissues heal and settle. However, it is important to note that some residual swelling may still be present, especially in the nasal tip area. The final shape and position of the nose tip may not be fully apparent at this stage.

4. 3-6 Months: As the healing process progresses, the nose tip will continue to refine and settle into its final position. By the three to six-month mark, most of the swelling should have resolved, and the nose tip should appear more balanced and proportionate. However, it is important to keep in mind that individual healing rates may vary, and some subtle changes may continue to occur over the following months.

5. Long-Term Results: It can take up to a year or more for the nose to achieve its final shape and position following rhinoplasty. The healing process is a gradual one, and the nose will continue to undergo subtle changes as the tissues fully mature and settle. It is important to maintain regular follow-up appointments with your surgeon to monitor your progress and ensure that the healing process is proceeding as expected.

It is crucial to have realistic expectations during the recovery period following rhinoplasty. Each patient's healing journey is unique, and the final results will depend on various factors, including the surgical techniques employed, individual healing capabilities, and adherence to postoperative care instructions. It is important to communicate any concerns or questions with your surgeon, who can provide you with specific guidance based on your progress and help manage your expectations throughout the recovery process.

rhinoplasty in men istanbul - male nose job in Turkey

In the male type nose, the tip of the nose and the tip of the nose should be on the same plane. Even if necessary, a very light belt can be left on the back of the nose to match the masculine facial features. A very smooth nose structure can lead to a feminine appearance in a man. As with the female type nose, the tip of the nose should not be 1-2 mm above the nose dorsum. In addition, male-type nose, nose and lip angle should be around 90 degrees. This creates a masculine, strong, determined and aesthetic facial expression.

An impressive male nose - supratip breakpoint and nose belt

The supratip breaking point, which is one of the anatomical details that make the tip of the nose beautiful, is very important in male nasal aesthetic operations. It is not easy to achieve this in patients with very thick skin structure. It is also very important to have an impressive and natural male nose that the nose arch is flat or close to flat.

What are the factors that affect the success of nasal esthetics in men?

First of all, the quality of the nasal skin directly affects the outcome of nasal surgery in men. In addition, the nose, the nose and forehead and chin tip is not fully evaluated or harmonized nose aesthetic operation is incomplete. Because the shape of the nose is not fully revealed. Therefore, when designing the nose shape, the face should be evaluated as a whole and aligned with the golden ratio.

What are the reasons for men to get a nose job?

Nose aesthetics is one of the most requested and applied aesthetic operations all over the world. Although it is much more common among women, the demand by men is increasing day by day. Functional problems are the most important reasons for men to have nasal esthetics. The problem of breathing can also lead to snoring and sleep apnea. These diseases can cause serious health problems that can be life-threatening. For this reason, men first decide to have a nose surgery to relieve their breathing problems.

Men may choose to undergo a nose job, also known as rhinoplasty, for various reasons. While the motivations for seeking a nose job can vary from person to person, here are some common reasons why men may consider this cosmetic procedure:

1. Aesthetic Concerns: Many men opt for a nose job to improve the appearance of their nose and enhance their overall facial harmony. They may be dissatisfied with the size, shape, or proportion of their nose and seek to achieve a more balanced and attractive facial profile. A nose job can address concerns such as a prominent nasal hump, wide nostrils, a bulbous or drooping tip, or asymmetry.

2. Correcting Nasal Trauma or Injury: Men who have experienced nasal trauma, such as a sports-related injury, accident, or physical altercation, may choose to undergo rhinoplasty to correct any resulting deformities or functional issues. Nose surgery can address fractures, nasal septum deviations, or breathing difficulties caused by injury, helping restore the nose's normal appearance and function.

3. Breathing Difficulties: Some men may have structural or functional issues with their nose that affect their ability to breathe properly. This could be due to a deviated septum, narrow nasal passages, or other nasal abnormalities. Rhinoplasty can be performed to improve nasal airflow, correct breathing problems, and enhance overall respiratory function.

4. Correcting Congenital or Genetic Traits: Certain men may have inherited nasal features that they find undesirable or that cause them self-consciousness. These may include characteristics such as a wide or bulbous tip, a prominent dorsal hump, or a nasal bridge that lacks definition. Rhinoplasty can help refine and reshape the nose, addressing these genetic traits and providing a more aesthetically pleasing appearance.

5. Ethnic or Cultural Considerations: Men from diverse ethnic backgrounds may seek a nose job to address specific nasal features or characteristics that are more common within their ethnic group. Ethnic rhinoplasty, performed with careful consideration for preserving ethnic identity, can help refine and enhance the nose while maintaining cultural aesthetics.

6. Confidence and Self-esteem: Improving one's self-confidence and self-esteem is a significant reason why men choose to undergo a nose job. Feeling unhappy or self-conscious about their nose can impact a man's overall sense of well-being. By addressing their aesthetic concerns through rhinoplasty, men may experience increased confidence and improved self-image.

It's important for men considering a nose job to consult with a qualified and experienced surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty. A thorough evaluation will help determine the individual's specific concerns, discuss their goals and expectations, and develop a personalized treatment plan. The surgeon will consider factors such as the patient's facial features, nasal anatomy, and desired outcome to provide the most appropriate recommendations and achieve a natural-looking and satisfying result.

Nasal functional problems are usually caused by deformities. In other words, if there is a problem of breathing in the nose, there is definitely a deviation problem. Aesthetic surgery eliminates the nasal problems that prevent breathing, while also correcting the shape to protect the masculine expression.

Asymmetric and Thick Skinned Nose Aesthetics For Men

The photographs below show the patients with thick skin features and an asymmetrical nose structure before and 2 months after rhinoplasty. It is observed that the patient's nasal tip area is especially edematous.

Asymmetric and thick-skinned nose aesthetics present unique challenges in male rhinoplasty, requiring specialized techniques to achieve balanced and natural-looking results. Addressing both asymmetry and thick skin in a male nose requires careful evaluation, strategic planning, and precise surgical execution to create a harmonious and masculine nasal appearance.

Here are key considerations in male rhinoplasty for asymmetric and thick-skinned noses:

1. Asymmetry Correction: Asymmetry in the nose can be caused by variations in the underlying bone structure, cartilage, or soft tissues. Male rhinoplasty aims to address these imbalances by using techniques such as cartilage grafting, osteotomies (controlled fractures), or suturing to create symmetry. The surgeon will carefully analyze the nasal structures and develop a customized surgical plan to correct the asymmetry while maintaining masculinity.

2. Thick Skin Management: Thick skin can obscure the underlying nasal structures, making it challenging to achieve precise definition and refinement. In male rhinoplasty, techniques are employed to address the specific characteristics of thick skin. These may include thinning the soft tissues, cartilage grafting to enhance definition, or using specific suturing techniques to create sharper nasal contours. It is important to note that while thick skin limits the degree of refinement that can be achieved, improvements in overall nasal shape and balance can still be accomplished.

3. Structural Support: Thick-skinned noses often require additional structural support to ensure long-term stability and prevent postoperative changes. The surgeon may use cartilage grafts, often harvested from the septum or ear, to reinforce the nasal framework and provide support. These grafts can be strategically placed to enhance symmetry, refine the nasal tip, or augment the nasal bridge.

4. Consideration of Facial Harmony: Achieving facial harmony is crucial in male rhinoplasty. The surgeon will consider the patient's other facial features, such as the chin and jawline, to create a balanced and masculine appearance. Enhancements to the nose should be performed in a way that maintains the overall proportion and aesthetic balance of the face.

5. Preoperative Planning and Communication: Clear communication between the patient and surgeon is essential to ensure a thorough understanding of the patient's goals and expectations. During the consultation, the surgeon will evaluate the nasal asymmetry, assess the thickness of the skin, and discuss the available options and limitations specific to the individual's case. This collaborative approach helps tailor the surgical plan to address the patient's concerns effectively.

Male rhinoplasty for asymmetric and thick-skinned noses requires the expertise of a skilled and experienced surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty. The surgeon's understanding of male facial aesthetics, along with their experience in managing asymmetry and thick skin, is crucial in achieving satisfying and natural-looking results. It is important to choose a surgeon who has a comprehensive understanding of the challenges associated with these characteristics and who can provide personalized recommendations based on the individual's unique nasal anatomy and desired outcome.

Ultimately, a successful male rhinoplasty for an asymmetric and thick-skinned nose aims to create a harmonious and balanced nasal appearance that enhances the patient's facial features while maintaining masculinity and preserving ethnic identity.

Male Rhinoplasty Operation For Thick Skinned Nose

Male rhinoplasty for a thick-skinned nose is a specialized procedure designed to address the unique characteristics and challenges associated with thick nasal skin in male patients. Thick skin can obscure the underlying nasal structures, making it more challenging to achieve refined and defined results. Male rhinoplasty takes into account the masculine aesthetic preferences while working with the thicker skin to create a balanced and harmonious nasal appearance.

Here are key considerations in male rhinoplasty for a thick-skinned nose:

1. Cartilage Support: Thick nasal skin often lacks natural definition and may require additional structural support. The surgeon may use cartilage grafts, typically harvested from the nasal septum or ear, to provide support, enhance definition, and improve the overall shape of the nose. These grafts may be used to augment the nasal bridge, refine the nasal tip, or address any asymmetries.

2. Tip Refinement: Thick skin can conceal the underlying nasal tip structure, resulting in a less defined appearance. Male rhinoplasty focuses on achieving a natural-looking, well-defined nasal tip. The surgeon may employ techniques such as cartilage reshaping, suture techniques, or tip grafting to refine and enhance the tip while maintaining a masculine aesthetic.

3. Nasal Bridge Augmentation: Thick skin can make the nasal bridge appear less defined or flat. Male rhinoplasty may involve techniques to augment the nasal bridge, such as dorsal augmentation using cartilage grafts or implants. This can create a stronger and more masculine profile by adding height and improving the overall proportions of the nose.

4. Scar Tissue Management: Thick skin is more prone to developing scar tissue, which can impact healing and final results. Careful management of scar tissue during surgery is essential to minimize its impact. Surgeons utilize meticulous dissection techniques, precise suturing, and postoperative scar management strategies to optimize the healing process and minimize visible scarring.

5. Facial Harmony: Male rhinoplasty aims to create a nose that harmonizes with the patient's other facial features. The surgeon takes into account the patient's facial proportions, ethnicity, and desired aesthetic outcomes to achieve a natural-looking result that maintains masculinity and facial balance.

It is essential to consult with a surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty and has experience working with male patients and thick skin. Clear communication and understanding of your goals and expectations are crucial during the consultation process. A skilled surgeon will evaluate your nasal anatomy, discuss the options and limitations specific to your case, and provide personalized recommendations for achieving your desired outcome.

Male rhinoplasty for a thick-skinned nose requires expertise in working with diverse nasal characteristics and understanding the nuances of achieving natural-looking results in male patients. Choosing a qualified surgeon with experience in male rhinoplasty can help ensure that your surgery is tailored to your unique needs and achieves a balanced and masculine nasal appearance.

In the video above and photos on the below, you can find images of a nose with an asymmetrical, crooked, thick skin structure before and after the rhinoplasty operation. In this patient, open technique, bilevel skin dissection and underskin tissue removal (for the purpose of thining the skin of the nose). In patients with thick skin features, there is a risk of regeneration of subcutaneous tissue and re-thickening of the skin, depending on genetic characteristics.

Rhinoplasty Without Bone Broken Photos

Nose aesthetic operations without breaking the bone, also known as osteotomy-free rhinoplasty or no-osteotomy rhinoplasty, are cosmetic procedures that focus on enhancing the appearance of the nose without the need to perform bone-breaking techniques. This approach is particularly suitable for individuals who require minimal changes to their nasal structure or prefer a less invasive procedure. Instead of using osteotomies (controlled fractures of the nasal bones), the surgeon employs alternative techniques to achieve the desired results.

Here are some important aspects of nose aesthetic operations without bone breaking:

Procedure:
No-osteotomy rhinoplasty typically involves the following techniques:

1. Cartilage Reshaping: The surgeon focuses on reshaping the cartilage structures of the nose to achieve the desired aesthetic outcome. This may involve techniques such as suturing, scoring, or grafting to modify the shape, size, or projection of the nasal tip, bridge, or other nasal areas.

2. Soft Tissue Techniques: The surgeon may use soft tissue manipulation to refine the appearance of the nose. This can include techniques such as suturing or grafting to adjust the skin, subcutaneous tissues, or other soft tissue structures of the nose.

3. Alar Base Modification: Non-osteotomy rhinoplasty can address concerns related to the width or shape of the nostrils. The surgeon may employ techniques such as alar base reduction or alar contouring to achieve the desired aesthetic balance.

Advantages:
Nose aesthetic operations without bone breaking offer several advantages over traditional rhinoplasty techniques that involve osteotomies:

1. Less Invasive: The absence of bone-breaking techniques makes non-osteotomy rhinoplasty less invasive compared to traditional rhinoplasty procedures. This can result in reduced surgical trauma, faster recovery time, and less postoperative discomfort for the patient.

2. Minimally Disruptive: No-osteotomy rhinoplasty allows for more conservative changes to the nasal structure. This approach is particularly suitable for individuals who require minor adjustments or prefer a more subtle alteration to their nasal appearance.

3. Reduced Risks: By avoiding bone manipulation, the risks associated with bone healing, bone fractures, or potential complications related to osteotomies are minimized.

Limitations:
Nose aesthetic operations without bone breaking have certain limitations that should be considered:

1. Structural Limitations: This approach may not be suitable for individuals with significant nasal structural issues, such as a deviated septum, nasal valve collapse, or severely misaligned nasal bones. In such cases, traditional rhinoplasty techniques may be necessary to achieve the desired aesthetic and functional outcomes.

2. Limited Modifications: Non-osteotomy rhinoplasty is best suited for individuals who require minimal changes to the nasal structure. Extensive modifications or significant alterations to the nasal shape or projection may not be achievable using this approach alone.

3. Patient Selection: The suitability for non-osteotomy rhinoplasty depends on the patient's nasal anatomy, aesthetic goals, and expectations. A thorough evaluation by a qualified and experienced surgeon is essential to determine whether this technique is appropriate for an individual's specific case.

It is crucial to consult with a skilled and experienced surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty to discuss your concerns, goals, and expectations. They will evaluate your nasal anatomy, provide personalized recommendations, and guide you in choosing the most suitable approach, whether it involves bone breaking or not, to achieve your desired aesthetic outcome.

Correction of Rhinoplasty Failure in Istanbul

Revision rhinoplasty operations can be planned after rhinoplasty operation, usually after 6-12 months. Overall, there is a 10% chance of revision after all rhinoplasty operations. Most problems involved in this ratio are those that can be solved by minor minor interventions. However, complicated revision rhinoplasty operations in which rib cartilage or auricle cartilage may be required may be required. Especially in patients with thick skin characteristics, it can be expected to pass more than 1 year after the first rhinoplasty operation.

Revision Rhinoplasty Definition

It is an operation performed to eliminate the undesirable consequences of the previous rhinoplasty surgery. There are some controversies in terminology. According to some, the second operation performed to correct the negative results of the surgery performed by the surgeon is called revision rhinoplasty and the correction of other surgeons is called secondary rhinoplasty. However, widespread use of the first surgery, no matter who makes 2. 3. or more correction surgery is called revision rhinoplasty. Unfortunately, rhinoplasty surgery does not result in positive results in all patients. The tip of the nose can be squeezed-narrowed, wide, asymmetrical, low, drooping or excessively shortened and raised (pig's nose). The nostrils may be asymmetrical or wide. There may be collapse of the nose side walls (collapse) and difficulty breathing. Nose back belt may continue, nose back depression, nasal cartilage belt as a result of inadequate parrot nose (pollybeak) appearance or as a result of excessive nasal collapse of the back (saddle nose) may be. continued deviation, irregularities in the nasal ridge, excessive scarring within or outside the nose, skin and soft tissue problems.

In fact, aesthetic and functional complications in primary rhinoplasty are indications of revision rhinoplasty. Unfortunately, 7-15% revision surgery is required after primary rhinoplasty. Some of these require minor revision. In minor revision; The result of the first surgery is acceptable and requires little touch-ups. The patient may be happy with his present nose and overall appearance, but may require minor corrections. However, if there is significant deformity as a result of previous rhinoplasty surgery, major revision is required.

Thick Skin Rhinoplasty (Ethnic Rhinoplasty) Photos

Thick Skin Rhinoplasty, also known as Ethnic Rhinoplasty, is a specialized type of rhinoplasty procedure designed to address the unique characteristics and challenges associated with thick skin in certain ethnic groups. This procedure is commonly sought by individuals with African, Asian, Middle Eastern, or Hispanic descent, as they often have thicker nasal skin compared to individuals of Caucasian heritage.

Thick skin presents particular challenges in rhinoplasty because it can obscure the underlying nasal structures, making it more difficult to achieve definition and refinement. Additionally, thick skin tends to have reduced elasticity, which can affect the final outcome of the procedure. Ethnic Rhinoplasty aims to address these challenges while respecting and preserving the patient's ethnic features and facial harmony.

Key considerations in Thick Skin Rhinoplasty include:

1. Tip Refinement: Thick skin often masks the underlying nasal tip structure, making it appear less defined. In Ethnic Rhinoplasty, the surgeon employs techniques to refine and reshape the nasal tip, often involving cartilage grafts to provide support and definition. This may involve suturing techniques, cartilage reshaping, or placement of grafts to achieve the desired aesthetic result.

2. Structural Support: Thick skin may also impact the structural support of the nose. Ethnic Rhinoplasty often involves strengthening the nasal framework using cartilage grafts to ensure long-term stability and support. This is especially important when working with thicker skin that may not provide as much natural support as thinner skin.

3. Nasal Bridge: In some cases, Ethnic Rhinoplasty may address the nasal bridge, which may be flatter or less pronounced in certain ethnic groups. Techniques such as dorsal augmentation using cartilage grafts or implants can be employed to enhance the nasal bridge and achieve a more balanced and harmonious profile.

4. Scar Tissue Management: Thick skin is more prone to developing scar tissue, which can affect healing and final results. Skilled surgeons pay careful attention to managing scar tissue during the procedure to minimize its impact on the aesthetic outcome. This may involve meticulous dissection techniques, precise suturing, and postoperative scar management strategies.

5. Cultural Considerations: Ethnic Rhinoplasty respects and preserves the patient's ethnic features and cultural identity. The goal is to achieve results that enhance the individual's natural beauty while maintaining facial harmony. Surgeons who specialize in Ethnic Rhinoplasty understand the importance of cultural sensitivity and work closely with patients to understand their goals and desires.

Thick Skin Rhinoplasty, or Ethnic Rhinoplasty, requires the expertise of a surgeon who has experience working with diverse ethnicities and understands the nuances of working with thicker skin. Patients seeking Ethnic Rhinoplasty should consult with a skilled surgeon who specializes in this area. Thorough communication and understanding of the patient's goals and expectations are crucial for achieving successful outcomes in Thick Skin Rhinoplasty while honoring the patient's cultural identity.

Revision Rhinoplasty Surgery Technique

Revision rhinoplasty surgery technique encompasses various approaches and considerations due to the complexity of correcting and improving the results of a previous nasal surgery. The specific technique used in revision rhinoplasty depends on the patient's unique anatomy, concerns, and desired outcomes. Here are some commonly employed techniques:

1. Open vs. Closed Approach:
The open approach involves making an incision on the columella (the strip of tissue between the nostrils) to access the nasal structures. This technique provides a more comprehensive view of the nasal anatomy, allowing for precise adjustments and graft placement. The closed approach involves making incisions inside the nostrils, which eliminates external scarring. The choice between open and closed techniques is based on the surgeon's judgment and the complexity of the revision.

2. Cartilage Grafting:
Cartilage grafting is often a crucial component of revision rhinoplasty. Grafts can be sourced from various locations, such as the septum, ear, or rib, or using synthetic materials. Grafts are used to augment or rebuild nasal structures, correct asymmetry, support weak areas, or refine the nasal tip. The surgeon carefully shapes and places the grafts to achieve the desired outcome.

3. Tip Refinement:
Revision rhinoplasty frequently involves addressing the nasal tip. The surgeon may use techniques such as tip suturing, cartilage reshaping, or graft placement to refine and enhance the tip's appearance. Tip refinement focuses on achieving a balanced and natural contour while addressing any irregularities or asymmetries.

4. Osteotomies:
Osteotomies involve controlled fractures of the nasal bones to reshape and reposition them. In revision rhinoplasty, osteotomies may be necessary to correct nasal asymmetry, straighten a deviated nose, or refine the nasal bridge. Precise techniques are used to ensure the bones heal in the desired position.

5. Scar Tissue Management:
Revision rhinoplasty often involves addressing scar tissue from the previous surgery. The surgeon carefully navigates the scar tissue to access the underlying structures and make the necessary adjustments. Scar tissue may also be removed or reshaped to improve the overall nasal appearance.

6. Preservation of Nasal Function:
In revision rhinoplasty, restoring or improving nasal function may be a priority. The surgeon may address any breathing difficulties caused by the previous surgery, such as a deviated septum or collapse of the nasal valves. Techniques like septoplasty (straightening the nasal septum) or spreader graft placement may be used to improve nasal airflow and function.

It's important to note that revision rhinoplasty is a highly individualized procedure. The surgeon tailors the technique to each patient's specific needs, considering factors like the patient's goals, anatomy, and the nature of the previous surgery. Clear communication between the patient and surgeon is crucial to establish realistic expectations and ensure the desired outcomes are achievable.

Choosing an experienced and skilled surgeon who specializes in revision rhinoplasty is vital. Their expertise in handling complex revision cases and their understanding of advanced techniques can significantly impact the success of the procedure.

Revision rhinoplasty can be performed with open or closed approach as in primary nose aesthetic surgery. Here you need to know from the beginning; The open or closed approach is not the surgical technique, but the way it is used to reach the cartilage and bone structures of the nose. Open or otherwise known as the external approach to the columella (nasal holes separating each other), a small V or W-shaped incision after the skin is removed by removing the cartilage and bone structures of the nose is reached. In the last stage of the surgery, the incision in the skin is closed and sutured. This incision is not normally noticeable after recovery, but can be noticed very closely and carefully. In the closed approach, all incisions are made through the nose. There is no rule that one of the open or closed approaches is better than the other. What is decisive here is what kind of interventions to the nose are needed and how these interventions can be done completely. Advantage of closed approach; nasal tip support mechanisms do not disturb much, less traumatic, shorter recovery, faster edema after surgery, loss of sensation at the tip of the nose can be counted. I prefer the open approach in curved noses, noses requiring major revision, noses with pronounced asymmetry at the tip of the nose, and cleft lip rhinoplasty. The advantage of the open approach is that all the cartilage and bone structures of the nose can be mastered and all kinds of graft and suture techniques can be applied.

Differences of Revision Rhinoplasty From Primary Rhinoplasty

Revision rhinoplasty and primary rhinoplasty are two distinct types of nose surgeries with different objectives and considerations. Let's explore the key differences between the two procedures:

Primary Rhinoplasty:
Primary rhinoplasty, also known as initial or first-time rhinoplasty, is performed on patients who have never undergone nasal surgery before. The primary goal of this procedure is to improve the aesthetic appearance and/or functionality of the nose based on the patient's desires and concerns.

Objectives: In primary rhinoplasty, the surgeon aims to achieve the patient's desired nasal shape and address any functional issues, such as a deviated septum or breathing difficulties. The focus is on enhancing the overall appearance and functionality of the nose while maintaining facial harmony.

Surgical Considerations: During primary rhinoplasty, the surgeon typically has a relatively unaltered nasal structure to work with. They have more flexibility in terms of shaping the nose and correcting any asymmetries or irregularities. The procedure may involve reshaping the nasal bones and cartilage, refining the nasal tip, or adjusting the nostrils.

Revision Rhinoplasty:
Revision rhinoplasty, also known as secondary rhinoplasty, is performed on patients who have previously undergone one or more nasal surgeries but are unhappy with the results. The primary goal of revision rhinoplasty is to address and correct the issues or complications resulting from the previous surgery or to further improve the nose's appearance and function.

Objectives: The main objective of revision rhinoplasty is to correct any aesthetic or functional concerns that persist or have arisen as a result of the previous surgery. This may involve addressing asymmetries, irregularities, overcorrections, undercorrections, or dissatisfaction with the previous outcome. Additionally, the surgeon may aim to restore or improve nasal function if it was compromised during the initial surgery.

Surgical Considerations: Revision rhinoplasty is typically a more complex procedure compared to primary rhinoplasty. The surgeon must navigate scar tissue, altered anatomy, and potential limitations caused by the previous surgery. The procedure may involve grafting techniques, cartilage reconstruction, or reshaping existing nasal structures to achieve the desired outcome. The surgeon's experience and expertise in handling revision cases are crucial for successful results.

Expectations and Challenges: Patients undergoing revision rhinoplasty should have realistic expectations, understanding that complete perfection may not always be attainable due to previous alterations and limitations. It is essential for the patient and surgeon to communicate openly about expectations, concerns, and desired outcomes.

In summary, primary rhinoplasty is the initial nose surgery performed on patients without prior nasal surgeries, with the goal of enhancing the nose's aesthetics and functionality. Revision rhinoplasty, on the other hand, is a secondary procedure performed on patients who have previously undergone nasal surgery but require further correction or improvement. Each procedure has its unique considerations, challenges, and objectives, emphasizing the importance of choosing a skilled and experienced surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty.

Revision surgery involves differences from primary surgery. Tissue plans are often narrowed, cartilage and bone tissues that are very valuable to us have been removed excessively or asymmetrically, and the forces during healing twisted weak or weakened cartilages. This requires more careful and gentle operation during surgery. Skin and soft tissue revision is very important in rhinoplasty. In most cases, there may be a scar tissue on the skin. Revision rhinoplasty has a more intense inflammatory tissue response than primary rhinoplasty. In thin-skinned patients, all protruding structures should be filed, the grafts should be thinned properly and, if necessary, wrapped with fascia. For thick skin, strong cartilages are needed to keep the tip of the nose stable and carry the weight of the skin. Swelling in thicker skins will heal later (lymphatic drainage can be delayed later), sometimes for 2 years. The duration of surgery varies from 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on the shape of the nose and the approach. Tiny touch-ups can be done in 30 minutes, while major revisions can take an average of 3-4 hours. Revision rhinoplasty often requires grafts. Nasal septum cartilage is often used or insufficient because of previous surgery. In this case, it may be necessary to remove cartilage from the ear or ribs as needed. In such a case, the duration of the operation is further extended. However, it should not be forgotten that the important thing is not the duration of surgery is the result!

Success of revision rhinoplasty; well-developed reasoning, talent, knowledge, and above all, experience. In this process, the surgeon must have a good knowledge of anatomy and be familiar with surgical approaches. Also the surgeon needs to know what to do in the face of unwanted difficulties and consequences. Patients should be followed up for a long time after surgery.

S Shaped Nose Aesthetic Surgery in Women

Crooked Nose - Before and 10 Months After The Rhinoplasty

Patients with crooked nose deformity may have different shapes (S-shaped, C-shaped, Curved L-shaped ...). In fact, these "shape combinations" may change as a result of curvature in multiple different areas such as nasal bone, cartilage and soft tissues in the supratip region and cartilage at the tip of the nose, nasal septum. As the nasal development is completed, deformities may occur in this way as a result of childhood nasal traumas. The nose shape before and after the rhinoplasty operation performed in the patient with "s-shaped nose deformity" can be seen in the above and below photos. Crooked nose aesthetic operations are generally more difficult than simple rhinoplasty operations due to "changed nasal anatomy" as in revision rhinoplasty operations, and it is unscientific to guarantee a millimeter symmetry with only one rhinoplasty operation.

S-shaped Nose Aesthetic Surgery in Women refers to a specific type of rhinoplasty procedure designed to address an S-shaped deviation or asymmetry of the nasal structure in female patients. Rhinoplasty, commonly known as a nose job, is a surgical procedure performed to improve the appearance and/or functionality of the nose.

An S-shaped nose deviation is characterized by a curve or twist in the nasal structure that creates an S-like appearance when viewed from the front. This deviation can be caused by various factors, including genetics, trauma, or previous unsuccessful rhinoplasty attempts. Women who have an S-shaped nose deviation may feel self-conscious about their nasal appearance and seek aesthetic surgery to achieve a more symmetrical and balanced nose.

During the initial consultation for S-shaped Nose Aesthetic Surgery, the surgeon will assess the patient's nasal anatomy and discuss their concerns and desired outcome. They will evaluate the extent of the deviation and develop a surgical plan tailored to the patient's individual needs.

The surgical technique employed in S-shaped Nose Aesthetic Surgery typically involves making precise incisions inside the nose (closed rhinoplasty) or combining internal and external incisions (open rhinoplasty). The choice of technique depends on the complexity of the deviation and the surgeon's preference.

The surgeon will carefully reshape and reposition the nasal bones and cartilage to correct the S-shaped deviation. This may involve straightening the nasal septum, adjusting the cartilage framework, and addressing any other structural irregularities contributing to the asymmetry.

Throughout the procedure, the surgeon aims to achieve a balanced and natural-looking result that enhances the patient's facial harmony and maintains their feminine features. They take into account the patient's facial proportions, skin type, and other unique characteristics to ensure the final outcome is in line with the patient's expectations.

Following S-shaped Nose Aesthetic Surgery, patients will experience a recovery period during which they may have swelling, bruising, and some discomfort. The surgeon will provide postoperative instructions, including the use of cold compresses and any prescribed pain medication, to help manage these symptoms. Patients should follow the surgeon's guidance and attend scheduled follow-up appointments for proper healing and monitoring of the surgical outcome.

It's important to note that the final result of S-shaped Nose Aesthetic Surgery may take several weeks or months to fully manifest. During this time, the swelling will gradually subside, and the nose will settle into its new shape. It's essential for patients to have realistic expectations, understanding that complete symmetry may not always be achievable. The goal is to create a more balanced and harmonious nose that enhances the patient's natural beauty while maintaining their individuality.

Women considering S-shaped Nose Aesthetic Surgery should consult with a qualified and experienced surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty. Thoroughly discussing their goals, concerns, and expectations during the consultation will ensure a mutual understanding and establish a personalized surgical plan.

In conclusion, S-shaped Nose Aesthetic Surgery in women is a specialized form of rhinoplasty aimed at correcting an S-shaped nasal deviation. By working with a skilled surgeon and maintaining realistic expectations, women can achieve a more symmetrical and balanced nasal appearance, enhancing their facial features and boosting their self-confidence.

Crooked Nose Aesthetic Surgery For Women

Crooked Nose Aesthetic Surgery for Women refers to a specialized form of rhinoplasty that focuses on correcting the asymmetry or misalignment of the nose in female patients. Rhinoplasty, commonly known as a nose job, is a surgical procedure performed to enhance the aesthetic appearance of the nose while improving its functionality if necessary.

In the context of women seeking crooked nose aesthetic surgery, it's important to understand that each individual's motivations and desires for undergoing the procedure may vary. Some women may be unhappy with the appearance of their crooked nose, which can affect their overall facial harmony and self-confidence. They may seek to achieve a more balanced and symmetrical nose that complements their other facial features.

One of the key considerations in crooked nose aesthetic surgery for women is achieving a result that maintains or enhances their feminine features. The surgeon takes into account the patient's facial proportions, skin type, and other unique characteristics to ensure the final outcome is in line with their desired aesthetic goals.

During the initial consultation, the surgeon will evaluate the patient's nasal structure and discuss their concerns and expectations. The surgeon will explain the potential techniques and approaches that can be used to correct the crooked nose. This may involve reshaping the nasal bones, straightening the nasal septum, or adjusting the cartilage framework.

The surgery itself is typically performed under general anesthesia or intravenous sedation, depending on the patient's preference and the surgeon's recommendation. The specific surgical technique used will depend on the patient's unique nasal anatomy and the extent of correction required. The surgeon will make careful incisions, often inside the nose or along the columella (the strip of tissue separating the nostrils), to access the underlying structures for reshaping.

Following the surgery, the patient will experience a recovery period during which they may have swelling, bruising, and discomfort. The surgeon will provide postoperative instructions and may prescribe pain medication or recommend cold compresses to help manage these symptoms. It's essential for patients to follow their surgeon's guidance and attend follow-up appointments for proper healing and monitoring of the surgical outcome.

The final result of crooked nose aesthetic surgery for women can take several weeks or months to fully manifest as swelling subsides and the nose settles into its new shape. It's important for patients to have realistic expectations, understanding that achieving complete symmetry is not always possible. The goal is to create a more balanced and harmonious nose that enhances the patient's natural beauty while maintaining their individuality.

It's crucial for women considering crooked nose aesthetic surgery to consult with a qualified and experienced surgeon who specializes in rhinoplasty. They should thoroughly discuss their goals, concerns, and expectations during the consultation to ensure a mutual understanding and establish a personalized surgical plan.

In conclusion, crooked nose aesthetic surgery for women is a specialized form of rhinoplasty that aims to correct asymmetry and improve the appearance of the nose in female patients. By working with a skilled surgeon and maintaining realistic expectations, women can achieve a more balanced and harmonious nasal appearance that enhances their facial features and boosts their self-confidence.

We performed micromotor asisted rhinoplasty operation for thick skinned and asymetrical nose in female patient. You can see the light reflections before and after. Nostrils are nort reduced much with patient's request. You can see the photos  and videos on the below.

"Thick Skinned and Crooked Nose Aesthetic Surgery" refers to a specific situation involving a rhinoplasty procedure aimed at addressing a crooked nose and the mental resilience required throughout the process. Let's delve into this topic:

Crooked Nose Aesthetic Surgery, or crooked nose rhinoplasty, is a surgical procedure performed to correct the asymmetry or misalignment of the nose. A crooked nose can be caused by various factors, such as genetics, injury, or previous unsuccessful rhinoplasty attempts. This procedure aims to enhance the appearance of the nose, bringing it into better harmony with the rest of the facial features.

However, undergoing any surgical procedure, including aesthetic surgeries like rhinoplasty, requires a certain level of mental resilience. The decision to undergo surgery is deeply personal and often driven by the desire to improve self-confidence and overall well-being. It takes courage to acknowledge one's physical insecurities and take steps towards addressing them.

A thick-skinned mentality is crucial throughout the entire process. It involves being resilient to criticism, managing expectations, and remaining positive despite potential challenges or temporary setbacks. Thick-skinned individuals possess a strong sense of self-worth and understand that physical appearances do not solely define their value as human beings.

For someone considering crooked nose aesthetic surgery, developing a thick-skinned attitude is beneficial both before and after the procedure. Preoperatively, it helps in managing expectations and understanding that perfection is not always attainable. It enables individuals to communicate effectively with their surgeon, expressing their desires while also being open to professional advice.

Postoperatively, having a thick-skinned mentality helps navigate the healing process. Swelling, bruising, and minor asymmetries are common after rhinoplasty, and it may take time for the final results to become evident. Patience, self-acceptance, and understanding that healing is a gradual process are crucial during this phase.

Moreover, it's important to note that aesthetic surgery is not a solution to all of life's challenges. While it can enhance physical appearance and boost self-confidence, true self-acceptance and self-worth come from within. Developing a thick-skinned mentality involves recognizing and appreciating one's unique qualities, beyond physical features.

In conclusion, "Thick Skinned and Crooked Nose Aesthetic Surgery" represents the journey of individuals who choose to undergo rhinoplasty to address a crooked nose. It emphasizes the importance of mental resilience throughout the process, from making the decision to undergo surgery to managing expectations and embracing the healing journey. Aesthetic surgery can be transformative, but ultimately, self-acceptance and a strong sense of self-worth are what truly contribute to one's overall well-being.

  3. Hello there,

First of all, I would like to thank you for preparing an explanatory and very informative page. There is a lot of interest in nasal aesthetics around me. I would like to know which technique you use more as a physician who has experience especially in noses with thick skin and ethnic features.

I have a relative who wants to have a rhinoplasty operation in Istanbul. There are many clinics, doctors and options available. How many nasal aesthetic surgeries do you do daily? You have offered prices varying according to different hospitals on your website. There are features that may change the outcome of surgery between hospitals. There are centers in Istanbul that offer rhinoplasty operation very cheaply. Obviously it is impossible not to wonder why the differences are so variable.

    Thank you.

    Nick

  4. Hi,

Thank you for your nice look. Noses with thick skin characteristics have different techniques and applications than classical simple rhinoplasty operations. In fact, I prepared a detailed page about it (Ethnic Rhinoplasty in Istanbul https://www.ent-istanbul.com/2018/05/ethnic-rhinoplasty-istanbul.html)

I usually use open technique on nose with thick and oily skin properties. There are different applications such as subcutaneous filling of the nasal root, cartilage grafting, and subcutaneous filling with bilevel dissection.

Apart from these, after the operation of a thick-skinned nose aesthetic:

    2-4 months salt restriction
Nasal banding in sleep time up to 4 months
    long-term nasal massage
Nasal cortisone injection can be planned in 2-4 months.

Why are rhinoplasty prices in Istanbul so variable?

You can really find prices for nasal aesthetic surgery, ranging from clinic to clinic, doctor to doctor. This is due to the fact that the price lists for hospitals are different (in fact, when performing a rhinoplasty operation in a hospital, we pay a 1-day hospitalization, operation room usage and materials including operation package fees), the physician determines the differences and the materials used differently. There are centers where 7 or more rhinoplasty operations performed daily by one surgeon and treatment costs are determined at a reasonable price. Especially in hospitals with JCI accreditation, anesthesia, and operating room sterilization conditions are different. Maintaining low blood pressure during and after surgery is important in minimizing facial edema and bruising. Also used materials and cleaning conditions may also affect the of the price thus result of the nose aesthetic operations.

Good luck with your surgery. Greetings from Istanbul,

    Dr.Murat Enöz

  5. Hi,

    1. Hi,

After the classical nose aesthetic surgery, it is generally necessary to stay in the hospital for one day and to stay in Istanbul for a total of 7 to 10 days. You can stay in Istanbul for a shorter period when single nose tip plasty operation or nose aesthetic surgery is performed without breaking the bone. I generally recommend my patients to stay in the hotel for the first 3 days after the surgery and apply ice. After 3 days in Istanbul, I suggest that they can make short-term trips to historical and touristic places in the city.

      Good luck for all,

      Dr.Murat Enoz

  6. Hi,

I had a rhinoplasty 2 years ago, and then I had a blackness on the tip of my nose. Now I can see the presence of stitches on the tip of my nose and I want to remove that stitch. If it is taken directly over the nose, is there any trace? Thank you, good day.

    1. Hi,

The incisions made on the nose skin usually heal by leaving a scar. I recommend taking an internal incision. suture reaction and / or infection can sometimes be seen also in absorbable sutures. long-lasting and non-healing tissue response needs to be sutured. Have a healthy day.

  7. Hi,

Can my breathing problem be solved by aesthetic nose surgery? Even if I have surgery, can breathing difficulty recur in the future?

A friend of mine had seen that a nostril was completely obstructed after a rhinoplasty operation and had a very troublesome healing process. I don't want to have a plastic surgery if there's any trouble with breathing.

    Thanks,

    Lydia

    1. Hi,

Nose aesthetic operations can be performed at the same time to eliminate both aesthetic and functional problems. These two operations can be performed together. At the same time, some interventions can be done for treatment of nasal septum deviation and turbinate hypertrophy in same procedure.

It is also possible to overcome your respiratory problems with nose surgery. In this case, during the first 1-3 months, it is sometimes good to breathe because of the swelling in the nose, sometimes bad. However, healing is inevitable and the respiratory problem is eliminated. After the septorhinoplasty surgery, the breathing problem will disappear and you will be comfortable. Turbinate hypertrophy and associated nasal congestion may occur, however, especially in people with allergic constitution, when living in polluted environments with high allergen concentrations over time. This is not related to aesthetic nose surgery. It is also important that the nose wings are not narrowed too much during the operation in order to prevent breathing problems after rhinoplasty.

  8. Hi,

I want to have a rhinoplasty operation but I'm afraid of anesthesia :(
Is it possible to do with local anesthesia?

Is it important to choose a hospital for this?

    Thanks,

    Sharon

  9. Hi,

Such an option is available . But I don't recommend it. During surgery you may hear uneasy sounds coming from your nose. You may not suffer, but it is possible that you will suffer. However, contrary to this view, there are doctors who use local anesthesia and patients who want to have their operations done like this. Note that you may feel pain during the injection of the local anesthetic before surgery and you may have to swallow a small amount of the drug.

The use of well-equipped hospitals with high quality standards (such as JCI accreditation) can reduce the risk of anesthesia.

  10. When you may have the above stated advantages then this ought to be the most effective remedy in comparison with all the opposite remedies. This isn't to say that the opposite remedies aren't helpful, however to say that this remedy is extra environment friendly. 2. Hello there,

The earliest age for rhinoplasty operation in women is 18 and in men is between 18 and 22 years of age. In fact, there are sources that argue that it can be done after the age of 17, but it is ideal to wait for the completion of the nasal development and then plan the aesthetic operation of the nose.

You are right to worry about anesthesia, but if the international sterilization and cleaning rules apply in the hospital where the surgery is performed, it is not appropriate for a patient relative (companion) to enter the sterile operating room conditions. However, in hospitals with JCI Accreditation, different applications can be found about the conditions of anesthesia and the awakening of the patient from general anesthesia. Nice article link you can read about this topic >> Please Remember The Importance of The Hospital And The Materials Which Used For Nose Surgery! - https://www.healthzoneturkey.xyz/2017/11/the-importance-of-hospital-and-materials-for-nose-surgery.html

Usually, I and my assistant are with the patient during the awakening phase, and when the surgery is finished, I prefer to call our patients' accompanyers and provide information. It is important to keep the number of operations performed daily (maximum of 2), the anesthesiologist being with the patient in the waking period of the patient, and the combination of sufficient amount of pain relief, anti-nausea and edema remedies.

If you are considering having aesthetic nose surgery in Istanbul, remember that the hospital conditions are very important. I wish you good luck at all stages,
