Rhinoplasty Recovery Guide 👃 - 21 - Diet and Nutrition After Rhinoplasty

What To Eat And Drink After Rhinoplasty?

Food and drink after rhinoplasty

There is no special dietary diet after nose surgery. However, in the first days after surgery to avoid constipation of food to eat fiber, soft warm diet can be useful with nutrition. However, the boiling and vapor of the food coming out of the nose to be eaten can increase nosebleed and facial edema. Less ingestion of saline products can contribute to the reduction of facial edema. It is suitable not to consume products such as garlic, ginklo biloba, ginger, sour cherry, omega 3 fish oils and paprika which may be effective on bleeding and clotting.

Drinking alcohol after a rhinoplasty

Consumption of alcoholic beverages after nose surgery may increase the risk of nosebleeds and the amount of bruising on the face of alcohol. In addition, alcohol consumption before surgery may cause an increase in the amount of blood consumed during surgery. There are discussions on this subject. I advise my patients not to use alcohol for at least one week before surgery and at least 10 days after surgery.
