Post-op Checking ExaminationTimes After Nose Job
There are different practices of different doctors and clinics about the control times of the patients, the drugs used and the massage applications after the nose surgery. I usually call on patients living in Istanbul to come to control at 1, 2 and 3 weeks after surgery. Especially after the 2nd week, I would like to give detailed information about nasal massage and alternative methods of applying saline in the nose, which can be applied with the exception of nasal spray. For our patients coming from abroad, a checkup appointment is usually planned 7-10 days after the operation. One month later, WhatsApp video calling can be scheduled online in the first month, or video can be narrated by requesting that our patients send their 1st month photographs.
After the first week after surgery, the nasal bandage, external splint and internal nasal silicone splints are removed!
Special aesthetic bandages, external thermal splints with special perforations, and internal silicon splints made of pure silicone placed in the nose, which are placed on the nose during surgery and allow for air transfer, are removed after 7-10 days. So after the first week you will be able to stay in your nose without feeling a foreign body much more comfortable!
Rarely, it may be necessary to keep internal or external splints in place for longer after revision nose surgery or nasal septum perforation operations. Inside the internal nasal silicone splints, there is a round tubular hole of about 1 cm in diameter that allows the patient to breathe through the nose.
After the nose aesthetic operation, the maximum edema at the nose tip and nose dorsun is seen especially in the first week after surgery. So, after the first week nasal external splint and intranasal silicone have been taken, a edematous and somewhat numb nose will be waiting for you. This is temporary and within weeks you will see that your nose volume is shrinking and aesthetically looks better than your nose!
