Lingual frenectomy is a triangular removal of the tongue tie tissue. It is done to decrease the possibility of re-adhesion after tongue ligament surgery. In the video, the patient who had type 2 anterior tongue tie, underwent lingual frenectomy in office conditions, and the postoperative videos, 1st week and 1st videos were added.
A conventional suture technique known as a "tongue tie extension suture" was used to improve the rectangular incision in the vertical plane (roughly diamond-shaped incision area) and to keep the free tongue area longer.
