Nasal Tip Plasty and Alar Rim Graft
As seen in the above photo, in patients with prominent notching in the nasal flank (which causes the central part of the kolumellan to separate the nostrils when viewed from the side), during the nose-tip surgery operations, in addition to the other cartilage grafts, the cartilage called the "alar rim graft" grafts are placed.
Shown in the photo above:
- light blue area: cap graft
- green field: kolumellar strut graft
- yellow area: areas where alar rim grafts are placed.
In order to achieve a lasting aesthetic and functional result, cartilage graft applications made in this way are very important especially in patients with thick skin.
In addition to the above graft applications, the patient underwent cephalic resection, ateral crural steal technique, and two-level skin dissection and subcutaneous tissue removal. You can see the images before and after the nose tip aesthetics in the photos below and in the video above.
It is seen that the nose belt is less pronounced with camouflage effect after the nose tip surgery.
