Even if the nasal bone is not broken or cut (osteotomy), a small amount of bruising can be seen on the nose or under the eyes. The reasons for this are:

- When the skin is dissected on the nasal bone, it is possible for blood to leak under the skin. Although it is performed much less than the skin dissection in classical rhinoplasty, as a result of tunneling between the skin and bone, a small amount of blood leakage and related bruising or under-eye bruising can be seen.

When the hump is reduced in the nasal bone, no matter what technique or tool is used, blood may leak under the skin from the capillary veins in the bone.

The expressions "without bruise", "without swelling", "without blood" are seen as remarkable in some advertisements as unscientific slogans. Most of our patients have less bruising and swelling than before, but the emphasis on "never going" is far from being scientific and a bit fake. As seen here, yes, although the bruise operation has been completed; There may be bruising and swelling in the first 3 days after the operation. Generally, less bruising and swelling are seen than classical rhinoplasty operation, and the recovery time is much shorter.

Unfortunately, some patients think that only the Piezo technique or laser is sufficient for a bruise-free aesthetic operation. Just separating the skin from the bone and even dissection is enough to see bruising and swelling.

In addition to the use of mimimal traumatic techniques, keeping the blood pressure levels of the patient low during the operation, the use of cocktails that reduce bruising during the operation are important in reducing swelling and bruising after the operation. However, when traumatic techniques are used and anatomy is not respected, you can encounter patients on the internet whose eyes are almost closed due to swelling and bruising after closed technique hump reduction.
