Before and After 2 Months of Female Rhinoplasty

Pre and Postoperative 2nd Month of Micromotor Assisted Rhinoplasty

Before and After 2 Months of Rhinoplasty, Postoperative 2nd Month of Nose Job, Before and After Female Nose Aesthetic Surgery

Two months ago, we performed an open technique, micromotor assisted rhinoplasty operation on a female patient with thin skin features, drooping columella, and asymmetrical nasal wings. I would like to share the photos of our patient taken during his controls today. During the operation with the micromotor, asymmetric bony protrusions and cartilage tissue on the nasal bone can be smoothed by rounding. However, after rhinoplasty, which is a "living tissue replacement procedure", asymmetric healing tissues that vary according to the amount of injury may occur, as the healing systems of the patients are activated. No asymmetrical protrusion was detected in the nasal dorsal and supratip region in the manual nasal evaluation of the patient.

2nd Month and Still an Swelling Nose!

When you look at the photos above and below, it can be seen that the tip of the nose is still edematous. In the anterior photos of the nose, it can be seen that the light line is almost in the middle and the levels of the nose wings are quite close to each other, and the drooping columella is smoothed by moving upwards (using the tongue in groove technique). In patients with thin nasal skin, even a small amount of asymmetrical tissue under the skin is visible (since the skin does not have enough camouflage effect). However, in patients with thin skin, the duration of edema and recovery time is shorter.

There is an Indistinct Incision Mark on the Nose Tip, Columella

Generally, after 1 month after the rhinoplasty operation, the incision scar of the columelladac becomes very rare. It may be recommended to start using products such as Contractubex, ScarFade, Scarex gel for patients with redness in the incision area after the 1st month. Redness may be more prominent in patients who smoke, who are in contact with the sun a lot, and who tend to develop redness at the incision sites.

Is it Necessary to Use Nostril Retainer Even if 2 Months Are Completed After Rhinoplasty?

Nostril retainer can be used for up to 6 months, especially in patients with asymmetry in the nostrils, to help symmetric healing. After two months, whichever nostril is smaller after rhinoplasty, the nostril retanner can be cut in the middle and attached unilaterally to that side. Please take into account the recommendations of the surgeon who operated on you in this regard.

Normalization of Lip Movements, Reduction in Nose Tip Numbness Has Begun!

After the rhinoplasty operation, numbness and decreased movement in the upper lip and numbness in the tip of the nose may occur in varying amounts. As in the patient I shared on this page, numbness at the tip of the nose and edema of the upper lip may occur more in patients who have reconstructed the nasal cartilage support tissue and who have had deep dissection of the columella. Since the upper lip frenulum is not cut, it can generally move upward and forward with the tip of the nose after rhinoplasty, the distance between the upper lip and the tip of the nose does not increase. It will be enough to be a little patient and take into account the recommendations of your doctor.

Is Nose Taping Necessary After 2 Months of Nose Job Operation?

Although this issue is controversial, it may be beneficial to apply pressure to the area by sticking a horizontal and wide tape before sleep, especially in patients with asymmetric healing tissue or swelling on the back of the nose, and tightly taping the tip of the nose in patients with thick skin whose nasal tip is still edematous. I especially recommend my patients with very thick skin features, if the nose is very edematous, to apply pressure to the nose with both nasal taping and rimmed aluminum cast application before going to sleep at night, even if it has been two months. Postrinoplasty sleeping time taping and cast using can be very beneficial in patients with thick skin.

It is Necessary to Wait at Least 4 More Months For The Wear of Glasses!

After the rhinoplasty operation, in which the classical nasal bone is broken and shaped, it takes at least 6 months to wear glasses. However, this period may be shorter after rhinoplasty operations with limited nasal bone reduction and bone fracture. take into account the recommendations of your surgeon who performed your operation in this regard. The use of normal glasses and sunglasses in the early period after classical rhinoplasty may cause bone lamellae to shift, deformities and deformities in the nose.

Is it protective to wear glasses by placing a cast on the nose?

After rhinoplasty, it is a classic knowledge that glasses should not be used for the first 6 months. Apart from this, our patients asked us, "If I place tape and splint on my nose, can I use glasses on them?" is asking the question. It may not show sufficient protective effect against mechanical trauma caused by cast eye. Cast and tape don't act too confidently! please consult your doctor.
