After A Tiring Day, Our Surgery Was Over

We Finished the Day After Complicated Rhinoplasty!

Usually, on the days when we perform revision rhinoplasty or other complicated operations, we complete the day by performing only 1 operation. Again one of them is finished. At the end of the day, we visit our patients and go home. This photo was taken by chance. Thank you to our friend who shot it.

One of the more complex nose surgeries is revision rhinoplasty, which involves correcting or revising a previously performed nose surgery. Patients resort to revision rhinoplasty surgery for various reasons, such as dissatisfaction with the initial results, functional problems or complications arising from the first surgery. This procedure requires a surgeon with extensive experience and a deep understanding of nasal anatomy, as the presence of scar tissue from previous surgery complicates the process. In these surgeries, additional cartilage grafts may be needed for nose reconstruction.

Functional rhinoplasty goes beyond aesthetics and focuses on improving nasal function. This type of surgery is usually performed to correct structural problems that prevent proper breathing, such as deviated septum, widening of the nasal concha, or collapse of the nasal valves. Surgeons performing functional rhinoplasty must have a comprehensive understanding of both the cosmetic and functional aspects of the nasal anatomy to achieve optimal results.

Ethnic rhinoplasty involves adapting the procedure to fit the unique characteristics of an individual's ethnicity. Different ethnicities have different nose structures, and surgeons must approach each case sensitively to cultural nuances and aesthetic preferences. The aim is to ensure harmony and balance by preserving the patient's cultural identity. This requires a surgeon knowledgeable in various nasal features and a wide range of rhinoplasty techniques.

Nose surgeries following traumatic injuries present unique challenges. Whether the trauma is due to accidents, falls or sports injuries, reconstructive rhinoplasty requires a meticulous approach to restoring the form and function of the nose. Surgeons may need to address fractures, tissue loss, and complex structural damage, requiring a combination of aesthetic and reconstructive skills. Sometimes, after traumatic injuries, serious anatomical changes or tissue losses may occur in patients.

Complex nose surgeries require a high level of surgical expertise, artistry, and a nuanced understanding of nasal anatomy. Surgeons performing these procedures must be knowledgeable in a variety of techniques to address both aesthetic and functional concerns. As technology and surgical techniques continue to advance, the field of rhinoplasty also evolves, offering new possibilities for patients seeking complex nose surgeries.

I generally prefer to perform one rhinoplasty operation per day. This is why I am adding a second surgery.  I do not like working in a very busy surgery schedule.

I wish everyone a nice day.
