Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in the body. This substance increases the volume of the lips. Sometimes the filler is sometimes referred to as yal hyaluronic acid fillers.. Hyaluronic acid is one of the basic elements of the skin. It is abundant in the skin. It absorbs water and helps keep skin moist. Provides a fresh and full appearance for young skins and moistens the skin in a natural and appropriate amount

How can be lip filler procedure done?

The filling process is carried out under local anesthesia with a ten-minute operation. No pain or pain is felt during or after the procedure. The results of the filling process are immediately visible. Only the first day or two may have tenderness on your lips. It does not cause any loss of sensation in the lips as it is believed. There are two types of permanent and temporary filling. The content of the temporary lip filler material can be absorbed by the body over time. Therefore, it should be repeated periodically. Permanent filling is a method that is not recommended and recommended by many surgeons and is difficult to recycle. In the aesthetic area, the lines extending from the nose to the lip sides, the lines going down the lip edges, mimic lines on the lip, lip plumping, removal of deep scar and pit appearances are applied in cheek plumping.

Ideal lip design

When calculating the lip shape, the person's general facial features and smile are taken into consideration. Details such as the upper lip pit coinciding with the full end of the nose, the symmetry formed by the lower lip with the chin, and the shape of the lips while laughing are taken into consideration. Just like drawing a picture, the most appropriate lip is designed first. It is then applied to the lip. It doesn't matter when adding lip volume to the lip. The curves that will increase the attractiveness of the lip should also be made clear.

Many materials and implants are available on the market to thicken and shape the lips. The most commonly used products for lip fillers are sterile fillers containing hyaluronic acid. Silicone-containing fillers, permanent and semi-permanent lip fillers or lip implants are also available.

Fillers containing hyaluronic acid are generally produced by bacteria and are marketed by the addition of a cross-linking carrier molecule. When producing filling materials, each company has its own patented filling production and processing technique. Normally, hyaluronic acid is a substance that can be found in different tissues such as veins, nerves, skin and eye fluid throughout our body. The duration of action of fillers containing hyaluronic acid may vary from person to person and may also vary by filler brand. The most reliable fillers on the market are hyaluronic acid-containing fillers. However, when permanent, semi-permanent fillers or silicone-containing fillers are used, there may be additional very different health problems other than the side effects of hyaluronic acid-containing fillers. In the above photo, it was seen that the patient who had lip sealant application in another country 3 years ago and silicone was added to the filling, had permanent nodules that appeared a few weeks after the procedure. As seen in the photo, there are several nodule formations on the left side of the upper lip, and nodule formation in the middle of the upper lip and in several places on the lower lip.

Nodule formation after lip filler injection

Reaction to hyaluronic acid is also known, but not often. Nodule formation can be seen in all fillers. It is often caused by a very superficial injection of the filler. Another HA reaction is the development of bloating with redness in the late period. In this case, it may sometimes be necessary to clean this nodule with surgery.

Immediately after the lip filler injection, patients may feel the parts injected with the fill in the injection sites. These manually felt parts normally dissipate later. However, the doctor should be informed about the occurrence of painful or tender nodules. In particular, the reddened and swelling which is gradually increasing in sensitivity within the first 48 hours after the injection of the filler, heralds the infection in the application area. Modules that appear in the late period and become permanent are the nodules that result from the immune reactions that usually occur due to fillings.

Red swelling that occurs immediately after injection of the filler can sometimes be due to injection technique or infection!

Sometimes a bluish color may emerge due to differential light scattering, known as the tindal effect immediately after filling. Sometimes this color change may continue beyond the filler effective time. Even if it is not visually apparent, tangible lumps can be felt on the lip. This usually occurs when medium-weight fillers are injected into the epidermis or dermis. If burning occurs during injection, it is best if the filling application can be terminated to rule out vascular problems. Hyaluronidase enzyme and surgical excision options are available in late patients after hyaluronic acid administration.

After filling the lip, nodule formation may occur in the early and late periods. Late-onset nodules are generally more common in immune-reactive patients and especially in patients with active autoimmune diseases. Although there is no definite evidence, people with rheumatoid diseases, atopic diseases and autoimmune diseases may have a higher risk of nodule formation. Extensive studies are needed on this subject. Early nodular formation may also occur due to a simple infection and needle application technique. Among the lip fillings, the most commonly used hyaluronic acid fillings are cross-linking. Fillers containing hyaluronic acid have a chance to be applied more superficially than other fillers. In particular fillers such as calcium hydroxide apatite and poly hand lactic acid fillers need to be injected deeper. In fact, these fillings are not often preferred in the application of lip fillers.
