Problems That May Seen After Rhinoplasty Operation and Solutions

Different Problems and Questions About Nose Aesthetic Surgery

Can the surgical technique be chosen by the patient?

Normally, the technique to be used during the rhinoplasty operation may vary according to the experience and habits of the physician and the characteristics of the nose. Therefore, the choice of technique belongs to your physician. If this technique is not accepted by the patients, you may choose another clinic for the operation. I usually do revision rhinoplasty and complicated nasal esthetics and I prefer open technique.

How should the nose be operated?

Some of the size, some of the curvature of the mind while attaching to others, while taking care of another nose aesthetics. Especially the women showed great interest in rhinoplasty, as well as in the world, Turkey is one of the most commonly performed cosmetic surgery. However, there are some important points to be considered in order not to be disappointed after the operation. Otherwise, there will be many serious problems, from the mismatch of the nose to the face, and the inability to breathe! There should not be an exaggerated, operative appearance that anyone can notice from a distance in a successful nose aesthetic; nose should be made in a naturalness that cannot be easily understood even with the professional eye. The nose must be in itself and proportionate and compatible with the face. Of course, while correcting the shape should not make it difficult to breathe through the nose, breathing problems should be corrected.

Is the nose tip lifted up more?

Many people with nasal aesthetics can look for their old nose. The secondary rhinoplasty operation in nose aesthetics is mostly due to complaints about appearance and function. In patients with deformities, the most frequent problems are collapses due to excessive bone and cartilage removal or swelling and asymmetries of excess tissues. Complications such as having the nose tip too high or low, collapse of the bone and cartilage supports that keep the nostrils and airway open, the curvature of the wall separating the nasal cavity called septum, and adhesions in the skin and mucous membranes and breathing problems may cause breathing problems. In the meantime, the surgeon does not operate by himself in the secondary surgery, which can not be noticed by the examination should be prepared for surprises. It is very important for the person to find an experienced surgeon who can solve these surprises and correct the complications.

What awaits a person after a nose job?

Since the wound healing process is completed in one year in people who have nasal esthetics, it is ideal for a secondary operation and to wait one year after the first operation. First, the most important source of cartilage is the septum cartilage. Ear and / or rib cartilage may be used according to need, if taken, used or insufficient in previous nose aesthetic surgeries. Sometimes it is necessary to benefit from muscle membranes and other connective tissues. These materials simulate the missing tissue or camouflage the deficiency to achieve normal appearance and function. These procedures require serious experience, craftsmanship and art.

Bone reshaping in nose aesthetic surgeries

Perhaps the most feared part of nasal aesthetic surgery is bone shaping. There are many different techniques for shaping the nasal bone. When the subject of aesthetic nose surgery is opened, one of the common questions that everyone is wondering or asking is how do you break the bones of the nose. First of all, this process is needed, what is the crime of our nasal bones, he goes through your mind. I would like to underline that we surgeons never break the bones. We cut the bones with special surgical tools to straighten and shape them. In the language of daily use, this process was called ’kırma bone breaking’. But if you look at the meaning of the word break, you'll see that smashing hard things by hitting or crushing ’’. Therefore, it is not possible to apply such an aggressive application to an organ that we touch every millimeter with great care. If we need to relocate the nasal bones during surgery (curved noses, arched noses, asymmetrical noses…) we cut and reshape the bones in a planned manner. In fact, the bone shaping process is just one of the many things that need to be done to make our nose more beautiful. We have to do many procedures for the cartilage of the nose. I guess our cartilages aren't as popular as bones yet. We use a lot of different tools to cut the bones. It may be hard to believe, but some of these devices have a hundred-year history and are still in use and still very useful. Of course, as technology evolves, our options in our inventory increase.

How is arched nose surgery performed?

In the examination performed by the specialist doctor, the cartilage and nose structure of the person is determined to the finest lines. If there is an excess of nasal belt after this stage, the cartilages that the person has are tried to be reduced. In cases where there is a deficient arched nose, cartilages to be taken from other parts of the person are added to the nose structure.

The arched nose aesthetic, which is also made for nose tip reduction, aims to provide a smaller and more proportionate nose to the person. During this operation, the nasal structure should not come out of its naturalness and an excessive nose tip removal should not be performed.

Arched nose surgery is an operation that lasts approximately 2 hours. After the nose surgery, the patient is discharged the next day and the resting phase begins. It is recommended that the patient should keep his head high while he is lying down for 3 weeks after the operation. This is a post-operative action to prevent bleeding, pain and bruising. However, despite all precautions, there may be bruises and swelling that may occur in the nose. This is extremely normal and is considered part of the healing process. After 7 days, all the materials in the nose are removed and the person can return to social life. In subsequent processes, it is obligatory to come to the control within the periods determined by the doctor.

Arched nose aesthetics can be applied in men from 18 to 17 years. Arched nose surgery performed to save people who have the appearance of arched nose from this situation where they are uncomfortable, aims to give the person a more natural appearance by taking the excess in the nose. Nose appearance of people with excess nasal belt sags downward, while people with a low nasal belt is more horizontal nose shape. This situation, which can affect the person psychologically as well as social life, is tried to be eliminated with arched nose surgery which is one of the kinds of nasal aesthetics.

Cartilage transplantation to the nasal tip in patients with droopy nasal tip after nasal surgery

Although revision nasal aesthetic surgery is more difficult than the first surgery, the desired results are obtained. The basic tissues that make up the nasal structure and determine the functionality and aesthetic appearance are the bone, cartilage and skin structure, ie the thickness of the skin. Improper planning of the alignment of these structures in the first operation leads to droopy nasal tip and nasal collapse.

The droopy tip of the nose is the result of insufficient support of the tip, which is the most important area determining the nasal aesthetics, with the cartilage tissue. The collapse of the nose is due to excessive removal of bone and cartilage tissue. To overcome these two problems, cartilage transplantation from the ear or rib is performed in case of tissue insufficiency. The collapsed nasal ridge is repaired again, the tip of the nose is supported by sufficient cartilage tissue and the fall is eliminated. Cartilage transfer is also used to bring the nose structure, which has become too small, to match the face. After rhinoplasty operations, rib cartilages are more appropriate than those of pinna cartilages in patients with droopy nose tip who require reconstruction of the nasal tip support. This is because the auricle cartilages are very soft and in patients without the caudal septum section, the use of rib cartilage as a columellar strut graft is more suitable for nasal tip support.

Difficulties of twisted nose aesthetics

In twisted nose aesthetic surgeries, curved nasal bone, upper lateral cartilages and nasal tip cartilages need to be shaped or camouflaged. Especially in extremely twisted noses, preoperative rhinoplasty digital animation and postoperative actual rhinoplasty soci may be different. Keep in mind that cartilage and bone memory may cause previous asymmetries, albeit partially, during recovery.

I will continue prepare similar articles.

Good luck 😊
