How is arched nose surgery performed?

In the examination performed by the specialist doctor, the cartilage and nose structure of the person is determined to the finest lines. If there is an excess of nasal belt after this stage, the cartilages that the person has are tried to be reduced. In cases where there is a deficient arched nose, cartilages to be taken from other parts of the person are added to the nose structure.

It is recommended that the patient should keep his head high while he is lying down for 3 weeks after the operation. This is a post-operative action to prevent bleeding, pain and bruising. After 7 days, all the materials in the nose are removed and the person can return to social life. In subsequent processes, it is obligatory to come to the control within the periods determined by the doctor.

Arched nose aesthetics can be applied in men from 18 to 17 years. Arched nose surgery performed to save people who have the appearance of arched nose from this situation where they are uncomfortable, aims to give the person a more natural appearance by taking the excess in the nose. Nose appearance of people with excess nasal belt sags downward, while people with a low nasal belt is more horizontal nose shape. This situation, which can affect the person psychologically as well as social life, is tried to be eliminated with arched nose surgery which is one of the kinds of nasal aesthetics.

Cartilage transplantation to the nasal tip in patients with droopy nasal tip after nasal surgery

Although revision nasal aesthetic surgery is more difficult than the first surgery, the desired results are obtained. The basic tissues that make up the nasal structure and determine the functionality and aesthetic appearance are the bone, cartilage and skin structure, ie the thickness of the skin. Improper planning of the alignment of these structures in the first operation leads to droopy nasal tip and nasal collapse.

The droopy tip of the nose is the result of insufficient support of the tip, which is the most important area determining the nasal aesthetics, with the cartilage tissue. The collapse of the nose is due to excessive removal of bone and cartilage tissue. To overcome these two problems, cartilage transplantation from the ear or rib is performed in case of tissue insufficiency. The collapsed nasal ridge is repaired again, the tip of the nose is supported by sufficient cartilage tissue and the fall is eliminated. Cartilage transfer is also used to bring the nose structure, which has become too small, to match the face. After rhinoplasty operations, rib cartilages are more appropriate than those of pinna cartilages in patients with droopy nose tip who require reconstruction of the nasal tip support. This is because the auricle cartilages are very soft and in patients without the caudal septum section, the use of rib cartilage as a columellar strut graft is more suitable for nasal tip support.

Difficulties of twisted nose aesthetics

In twisted nose aesthetic surgeries, curved nasal bone, upper lateral cartilages and nasal tip cartilages need to be shaped or camouflaged. Especially in extremely twisted noses, preoperative rhinoplasty digital animation and postoperative actual rhinoplasty soci may be different. Keep in mind that cartilage and bone memory may cause previous asymmetries, albeit partially, during recovery.
