Open Technique Nose Tip Plasty in Male Patient
Sometimes, as a result of the tip of the nose pointing downwards (especially in patients with poor nasal tip support, genetic and traumatic reasons or after nasal surgery), nasal airway resistance increases, nasal congestion and related complaints may occur in patients. In the video above and in the photos below, you can see the pre-operative and post-operative conditions of a male patient with a drooping nasal tip and an open technique nasal tip operation.
Nasal septum deviation, turbinate hypertrophy and low nasal tip were detected in the examination of the patient, who had previous nasal trauma and complaints of turning down the tip of the nose, nasal obstruction, open mouth sleeping and decreased exercise capacity over time, and the following procedures were performed::
- septoplasty operation
- nose tip lift
- Restructuring the nasal tip support with cartilage grafts
After the operation, internal silicone splints were placed in the nose and several tapes were attached to the nose.
In this operation, which lasted approximately 45 to 60 minutes, no surgical intervention (bone cutting, rasping was not performed) on the nasal bone.
