Image
Nasal Cotton PCR Test and Wearing Face Mask After Nose Job Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, coronavirus tests are performed in hospitals where an operation appointment is made 2 days before the operation in Istanbul. Surgery continues in patients with negative coronavirus tests and no signs of infection. Two questions frequently asked by our patients "Can we get the nasopharyngeal cotton swab test for the coronavirus PCR test as soon as possible after the rhinoplasty operation?" and "What should be considered when using antibacterial and antiviral face masks after rhinoplasty?". After the rhinoplasty operation, I would like to answer these questions below, as it is necessary to have a Covid-19 PCR test and wear a mask while returning to their country or traveling to different regions. When Can Nasopharyngeal Swab Test Be Performed After Rhinoplasty Operation For Coronavirus? The PCR test using cotton swab to take a swab test from inside the nose and nasopharynx after r

Endoscopic Removal of Nose Polyps and Sinus Operation The 40-year-old patient, who developed nasal congestion due to intense polyps in the nose, was applied local and systemic cortisone treatment for about 20 days and it was observed that the polyps were quite retracted, but the patient still had severe nasal obstruction. At the same time, due to the mechanical pushing of the polyps, it was seen that the nasal septum deviated to the right. We performed septoplasty, nasal polypectomy and bilateral functional endoscopic sinus surgery (fess) operations on the patient. Below you can see the photos taken out of the nose. "Nasal Polyps" and "Nasal Polyposis" Definition As is known, there are many organs or tissues filled with air in the human body. Examples are the lungs, stomach, mouth, nose, sinuses around the nose, and external auditory canal. Sinus is the name given to spaces that look like an open pouch in general. Simple Secondary Revision Rhinoplasty Operation

Uncomplicated 2nd Revision Nose Aesthetic Surgery In patients who have undergone rhinoplasty operation before, we can sometimes make the nose more functional and cosmetic with a lot of intervention. Of course, planning the second revision rhinoplasty surgery is more complicated and more difficult than the primary rhinoplasty operation . The patient I shared with you here, you can look at the pre- and post-operative images of the patient, who had a nasal aesthetic operation in a different clinic about a year and a half ago, and who had sagging at the tip of the nose and a long appearance in the nose after the operation.  We performed the secondary revision rhinoplasty operation . What is a secondary rhinoplasty operation? Secondary rhinoplasty or 2nd revision nose job are surgical and aesthetic interventions performed on patients who have previously undergone aesthetic nose surgery and have not achieved adequate results in terms of aesthetics or functionality. Generally, the possibili

Images and Information About One Week After Rhinoplasty

Image
7 Days After Nose Job Generally, the first week after rhinoplasty is the most troublesome period for patients. In the first week after the rhinoplasty operation, bruising and swelling occur around the eyes and face. Nosebleeds are usually the most during the first 3 days. While bruising and swelling increase in the first 3 days, it decreases in the following days. 7-10 days after the rhinoplasty operation, internal silicone splints on the nose, bandage and inside the nose are removed. As seen in these photographs, the skin accumulates oil on the nose. I especially wanted to share with you the photos taken without cleaning the skin. In summary, what should be done after a week after the nose aesthetic operation: Regular nasal bandaging for another 2 weeks can help reduce nasal edema faster. After this period, nasal taping can only be done while sleeping. This will be explained to you in detail. - It is appropriate to sleep with a 45 degree position for 2 more weeks asleep - In the bathr

Each Patient May Require a Separate Plan and A Separate Technique!

Rhinoplasty is a Personal Operation! Since every person's face has a different structure, it is natural that the nose structure planned after surgery is also different. As in the previous surgery patients, the nostrils are seen from afar, with a sharp straight line on it, the half-pyramid or "squeeze nose" shaped single, standard and unnatural noses; Natural noses are suitable for the face, where each patient is evaluated separately in accordance with the proportions of the face. Personal surgeries are performed instead of standard surgeries. On the below, the nasal septum deviation in the lower part of the nasal septum (caudal septum deviation) and severe nasal tip asymmetry, the nasal tip aesthetics, preoperative and postoperative nasal photographs are shown. The structure that looks protruding from the right at the tip of the nose is actually the lowest part of the septum that should be located in the midline of the nose. Removing this part alone can cause serious weak

Liquid Rhinoplasty With Limited Filler Injection

Image
Non-surgical nose job in Istanbul We performed a liquid rhinoplasty with cross-linked hyaluronic acid filler to the patient, who had previously undergone rhinoplasty operation in a different clinic and had various asymmetric light reflections on the nose, in office conditions, which lasted for a few minutes. Using approximately 1/3 of the contents of 1 injector, improvement in the nasal axis, nose tip straightening, filling in the hollow areas on the nasal dorsum were achieved as seen in the above and below photographs. The total processing time of non-surgical nose job with filler  took about 2 minutes. The patient was recommended to use Arnica Gel, which relieves edema, and second liquid rhinoplasty procedure was planned 10-14 days later. The filling material used here is cross-linked hyaluronic acid fillers that can be dissolved by the body in about 10-12 months, which is the European Quality Standards code. When viewed from the side of the patient, an illusion was obtained as if
